The lens has great feel & build quality. The pictures it produces are good quality and sharp. One thing to note is that it does not have in lens stabilization so it would be wise to use a tripod in low light or when using the video function.

What a wonderful lens! The Sigma 16mm f/1.4 helped me capture sharp, vibrant shots with my Sony a6700 during a walk through the city. An important lens to have with your Sony APS-C camera. Good sharpness and super brightness; important in dark situations such as filming the night sky.

The autofocus performance is amazing, and wow it is so comfortable focusing at almost any distance! Just used it at my desk to walk someone through some detail work modding arcade buttons and I was able to freely move individual parts just inches from the lens to show specifics and pull back again to do more work, and each time it found me and focused on what was important right away. Absolutely drinks light, and the image is wonderfully sharp. I am no pro photographer, but I have to say that all the reviews I watched for this thing hyping it up didn't even do it justice. My only regret is not buying it a few years back when it was a few hundred less expensive, but I was lucky enough to mostly get it using gift cards. EXCELLENT video and photography lens on my a6000.
