Worn over compression shorts or directly on skin?

Most times I've worn it, it has been directly on skin. In the beginning this can be a tad bit uncomfortable, but once you start training and sweating it's fine. Wearing it over the compression shorts works well no complaints there, just personal preference I go on the skin.

I wear it differently than shown. I put the cup underneath a standard jock strap then wear compression shorts on top of it. They have a You Tube channel that will help you.

Can these protect against paintball shots?

This cup is adult only yes, but the company does offer a female, junior and other light weight cup options.
