Heelbo Heel and Elbow Protector XXLarge Tan Pair

For me, not good by themselves, but great in combination
My first pair was size XLarge. It was put on my ulnar-nerve troubled elbow by the med. supply store clerk and it seemed comfortable. Walked out of the store with it on and comfortably wore it the rest of the afternoon. The next day I could not put it on by myself, largely because of all the arthritis issues in the other hand and wrist, as I was trying to yank, twist and pull it on. A lot of pain (which took a few days to go away). I figured I just needed a larger size, and came to Amazon, ultimately buying the XXL ones but not before observing that several users had reported having to cut the tops enough to be able to pull them on. For me, that was all but about two inches. While waiting for the larger size to arrive, that's what I did, but I found myself yanking it up frequently. The larger pair (this order) arrived and I was stunned to find their idea of "larger" was simply "longer!" When I cut them open, the elbow-protecting pads were the same size as the previous pair! Back to Amazon. I spotted the eggcrate foam pair (around $5) and bought them. Those were not quite perfect in terms of protecting the elbow, but easy to put on. However, foam is not comfortable. And that's where the marriage of the two types of protectors came in. I cut the Heelbo tops completely open and situated one in each of the eggcrate elbow forms, providing very comfortable and adequate padding. I put my elbow into that nice bedding, and the only remaining problem is that velcro isn't very comfortable on the skin either. One of my husband's old handkerchiefs laid across the joint provided a nice soft surface for the elbow, and I can yank the velcro as tight as I want with ease and total comfort. A little bizarre, but I'm perfectly happy and my doctor had a good laugh when he saw it.

It’s too tight where sewing’s are
I like the product but cannot where them them because where it is sewn together is to tight for my arms and cuts off my circulation. And I did purchase the xxl size

Tight, not comfy, itchy&spot @elbow w/o pad.
Could be thicker and would LOVE if it was stretchier. I have severe pain in my elbows and have hours of school work. Sometimes my pain is so bad I can barely rest my elbows on the table. This thing helps but often I still need to rest the elbow in the heelbo pad on a pillow. Try buying this and using it to make a better more comfy one. Could even give yourself to add extra padding on more painful days. So yeah, idk, it’s nice but lacking in A LOT of ways. I like it but I’m also really disappointed as the only way I can get a better one is to make it.

As most reviewers stated, sizing is way off. I should have listened.
I am not upset with the seller, because he is only posting the sizing, given him by the manufacturer, for ordering Heelbo elbow protectors. Heelbo elbow protectors are made extremely well; the quality of the product is excellent, but my dad can't even wear the XXLarge pair, and he has a measurement around the bend at his elbow of 16 inches. The manufacturer states that this is where one is to measure, and XXL is the size indicated on the Heelbo chart. The weave of the sock material is so tight, with no elastic give at all, in the cuff around the upper arm. The item cuts off the circulation, causing discomfort when worn. Why, oh why, would a medical company produce a product for an aged individual in pain, that is hard to pull up the arm to the elbow, and then cut off the circulation because the weave of the sock material is stiff, with no comforting give. I understand that Heelbo wants their product to stay in place, but they haven't really thought through the harsh material they have used to make their product. My dad has such thin, delicate skin tissue from age and chemo treatments, and the tight weave pulls at his skin so much, that it causes the tissue to bruise. My dad tried the product once, with such discomfort, that he will never wear the Heelbo elbow protectors again. I wish that I had, after reading all of the negative reviews from other purchasers about the ill- fitting Heelbo product, even when using the manufacturers sizing chart, I wouldn't have had to go through all of the disappointment of not receiving a product that would protect my dad's fragile skin tissue comfortably.

Great for tendonitis
I wear these to bed at night, and they help reduce stress on the tendons in my elbows.

Perfect for Big dog elbows
These are Perfect for my Great Dane Mastiff mix. He’s a big boy and throws himself down on the hard floor A LOT.The tops of the sleeve probably should be a tad wider but that’s the only complaint. They seem comfy, well padded, and washable!

Good padding for dogs elbows. Needs modification. .
They are great but a dogs elbow is in his arm pit. No way to keep these from falling down without a garter belt? They fell after a short walk to the kitchen. Made a garter belt from a old adjustable length bungie cord. Works perfect.***5 day UPDATE***He is still wearing them. He seems to enjoy wearing them. The adjustable bungie cord gets loose a few times a day and I adjust it. Works like a dream. His elbows are healing from laying on the hard wood floors.

I bouth the xxl size for my English mastiff
I bought this Elbow protectors for my 170lb English mastiff, he just turn 15 months, he has hygromas because of sleeping too much on the floor, but he just recently grew them up during the summer, because I have 3 different dog beds around the house, but since the floor is colder he spends more time on the floor, so the elbow protectors fitted okay on his elbows but also had to buy mitten clips to hold the elbow protectors on place to keep them from sliding out of the elbows, so they stay on place only with the help of the mitten clips around his shoulders holding each protector on each side.
