Great Fit and Great Value
This kit contains everything you need to properly time your N12 engine. The tools look a little rough at first glance but they are sturdy and fit perfectly. I've read a couple of reviews that complain about the fit but I wonder if that could be more to do with not getting the cams and crank absolutely spot on before fitting the tools. My advice for getting the crank pin in is to use an endoscope, fed in across the top of the exhaust and under the sump so that it looks directly (more or less) into the hole in the engine case. Get the 'dimple' in the flywheel dead centre and the timing pin will slide right in. Be sure to use the right pin for your car (I believe one is for an automatic and one for a manual). My car is a manual and the pin with the larger diameter body fitted perfectly, whereas the narrower one was not tight. For the price, I can thoroughly recommend this kit.

Works perfectly though some bits could be sturdier
Pretty comprehensive kit for THP engines. We used it for a chain replacement on a peugeot RCZ 1.6 turbo engine and it was spot on. I knownit can also be used for various other versions of that and the non turbo versions of the engine. My only gripe was the 2 crank locking tools are a little flimsy as they're only spot welded to a metal wire. I'm not sure how good it would be longevity wise as it's only a cheap kit at the end of the day but would definitely get quite a few uses out of it If you're careful.

Works exactly like the factory tool. As always, does not come with directions, but follow the service manual proceedure, and this works exactly like the original tool.

Got the job done, shipped quickly
Does the job on a 2016 Mini N18 engine. 5 stars for cost-benefit ratio. Had to slightly polish the crank pin holder tool (with emory paper and trans fluid) to make it smooth enough to fit in the hole of the bellhousing. Once that was done, it was a super precise fit to set crank position. On the cam side of things, you pick the adapters that fit (no instructions or labels on the tools). Wasn't hard to figure out. The intake holder was a tight fit but the boss wouldn't go 100% true to the head surface. Close enough with all 3 bolts tightened to about 90in-lb. The exhaust holder went much truer to the head surface but the part that holds the flats of the cam was a bit loose, allowing the cam to rotate back and forth about ½degree. Close enough again. The bolts that come with the kit are junk and their shoulder is too long to use with N18 holders from this kit. They're standard m6 so who cares. I found my own and the job went smoothly. Once finished, I reset the vanos and valvetronic adaptations and it runs like new with no faults.
