Dunlop MXR M222 TALK BOX w/4 Cables

Really happy with this talkbox so far. It’s easy to set up, feels well-built, and the sound comes through clear and strong once you get the hang of how to use it. I was surprised how quickly I could dial in that classic talkbox tone, and it works great with my keyboard and guitar setup. The tubing is sturdy, the volume is solid, and it hasn’t given me any issues during longer sessions. If you’ve been wanting that iconic vocal effect without spending a fortune, this one does the job really well.

I've been using it with a Roland Keytar and there were no issues, it is a bit difficult to use at first, but I'm getting the hang of it

It is convenient to have the amp and driver all in one box. I like the way the switch mutes the signal so only the talkbox is active. There is no need to tap multiple switches to activate the talkbox or go back to the regular guitar sound. I looked at the Rocktron Banshee, which also has a built in amp. I decided to go with the MXR based on the bulletproof reputation that goes along with that brand. I think this may have been a little cheaper than the Rocktron, too. This is solidly built and sounds great. GearTree is a great seller, too. Super fast shipping and the added extras are good quality.

Learning stage

This talkbox is my favorite thing in the world. Its so good. I have nothing negative to say about it. Its does everything it says it does, and honestly, more. Not only can i sing with funky robot voice, but i now feel complete and have inner peace.

It works perfectly, although I'd look up a video on how to hook it in if it's your first time using a talkbox. I'd also suggest looking up exercises on how to mouth out what you want it to say if it's your first time too. The only hangup is that the bottom isn't completely flat/flush, but it doesn't hinder the functionality or usability. It should be noted I bought mine slightly used, so that might be the reason. Regardless I'm satisfied so far and look forward to using it in future projects.

I have used the MXR for recordings and live, and it's been an incredible. I have written songs on a midi keyboard and the MXR, without the use of further pedals. I've also used this pedal live with my gigging band, on guitar and BASS, for example, let's groove by earth wind and fire, without any additional pedals, and it's worked incredibly well DI and with the amp itself. The MXR has been a gem, and now we charge a dollar every time someone wants me to say something live through the talkbox. MXR works great with recording, and I would love to answer any questions or give tips about recording with it. Additional pedals work great with the MXR, some i've used include fuzz, distortion, envelope, octave, and more. I highly recommend this product.
