Best big and tall camping chair out there
As I have said a couple times, I don't usually write reviews but I had to put a lot of work in to find the right chair for my wife and I. I'm a big guy, 6'7" 305lbs and when my wife asked me to get a couple of these for going to our R/C Flight club or down to the river, I knew I had my work cut out for me.She wanted to get these $34 cooler chairs and while those are nice, they're not super sturdy at the best of times, especially not with someone my size sitting in them. I did some research and after going through several "heavy duty" chairs and trying a bunch at the local stores, we decided to get a set of these. They showed up and after unboxing, they were in a really nice storage bag. Not one of those super thin ones either. It's got some kind of lining on the inside material or so it looked to me. Nice and durable.Set up is easy, just unfold and have a seat! The blue version from the company comes with a nice bag for your magazine or phone, and a swing out cup holder (the black did not, important to note...it was $10 cheaper). The metal is nicely coated tube design and very firm feeling. Not that flimsy aluminum stuff, this is a steel frame chair. Material feels thick and sturdy, something that is going to hold up pretty well with some simple care. The arms are a solid tube so you can rest on them with ease, again, not a floppy piece of cloth. Use them to get up and sit down, they can take it. Feet are on a rocker design so they'll adapt to weird ground but have little treads so they don't slide around once you set it up. The seat doesn't have weird plastic rivets on the side (Like the $34 dollar one did) and it doesn't have a metal bar under the front of the cloth digging into your thighs. Speaking of the seat, did I mention it was roomy? My tookus fit with room to spare and relax and spread out in. You're not going to get pinched here if you know what I mean.Folding it up took about 5 seconds to figure out. Stand in back of the chair and pull the arms towards you and inwards. It DID fit back into the bag too which was nice because if you've done camping gear before, you know that's usually impossible.Overall I couldn't be more pleased with these (so far) and I figured, since I had to work my butt off to find something that would fit me, be sturdy and be comfortable, I'd leave a review so someone else doesn't have to work as hard as I did to find something good.If I had to give it a con, it weighs like 16 pounds in the bag. Heavy? Meh...it's heavier than the $34 one than came in at 8 pounds but it's a *steel* framed chair, it's going to weigh more. Maybe if you're looking for a chair to haul up a mountain or go hiking with, this isn't it. If you're going to go somewhere, haul them out of your car, 16 pounds is nothing and I'd have some really serious problems if I couldn't handle that LOL.Long story short, if you're looking for a great big guy chair, this is it. It costs more but you're getting solid quality that is comfortable. I'd rather pay more for something I can use season after season instead of it breaking at the end of the summer and I have to get another.

The King of Folding Chairs—Great for Life, Questionable for Sandcastles
This chair is the folding chair to rule them all. High back? Supports you like a superhero cape. Flat seat? No awkward sinking like you’re sitting on a beanbag full of regrets. Pockets? Oh, it has pockets—enough to store your snacks, sunscreen, and probably your existential dread. It’s insanely comfortable for 8+ hours, which is amazing because most chairs give up on you after two. But let’s talk about the beach. Do I love taking it there? Absolutely. Do I feel like it’s technically made for that? Not really. Those tilting feet are like, “Sand? Nope.” You’ll end up slightly leaning, like a human version of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. And when you’re done, cleaning and drying it is like performing a full chair exorcism before daring to fold it up.But folding it? Easy as pie. And the sturdiness? This thing could survive a hurricane (not scientifically tested, but I believe). Bought it on my brother’s recommendation—he’s had his for years, and I’m fully onboard the fan club now.If you want a portable throne for long events, this is your chair. If you want to sit in style while pretending it works perfectly on the beach, this is also your chair. Just be ready to embrace the slight absurdity. Highly recommend!

Solid beach chair
This chair is a solid choice for beach days. The steel frame is sturdy and well-built, as long as you fully extend the legs. The high back, wide seat, and 18-inch seat height make it super comfortable to sit in and stand up from. The arms are also sturdy, which is great for those who need them when standing. The only downside is that it can be a bit tricky to fold at the end of the day. The steel frame makes it a bit heavier, but it’s worth it for the comfort and durability. When I return home, I usually open the chair, hose it down, let it dry completely, and then pack it in its storage bag, ready for the next weekend beach day.

Beefy
Not only sturdy, strong, stable, and solid, but incredibly comfortable too! The makers of this chair didn't stop with stability and comfort but provided well thought out extras that are not found anywhere else. Like a beverage holder that is hidden under the seat that swings out available when you need it and a large flap that hangs off one side with pockets for books, magazines, snacks, or whatever. There's a good sized pocket with a velcro cover that the carry bag for the chair fits snugly into. The armrests are covered with rolled canvas that is surprisingly comfortable and located at a comfortable height and position. The legs have swiveling feet that would increase stability on uneven surfaces. The back is at just the right angle for sitting up straight or allowing you to slightly recline. This is the Cadillac of portable outdoor chairs. It's a little heavy but worth the tote for the comfort. It feels padded, in fact it feels like sitting in your living room chair. This chair costs a little more but the quality and benefit of comfort is so great it's a bargain. If you are heavy like me, 317 lbs today, or just a regular size person, this is the best portable chair for you.
