easy to setup and use
The media could not be loaded. this obd2 code reader is handy when i need to check the car if there is any problem occurred (i.e. dashboard warning lights on)i’m not good at car maintenance, however it’s still good to know what happened to the car before bringing it to the garageit’s easy to setup, it automatically turned on as soon as i plugged it to the obd port of my carit’s not hard to use, list of code and pid returned after triggered the car linking function, just i had no idea what the pid data returned is about, probably only professional or someone good at car diy can understand, it’s also a good starting point to learn how to determine car condition from these data (i.e. iat - engine intake air temperature)anyway, i’m happy to see diagnostic scan result had no code returned, that means my car has no problem detected, hence no error code is recordedin the case that there is error code returned, this device has a function to lookup the definition of the error code (i.e. P0110 stands for intake air temperature sensor circuit malfunction)also, this device could connect to computer with the included mini usb cable, for firmware upgrade or print the diagnosis data to printeri’m happy with this product, would recommend it

Easy to Read, and plug in device
This code reader very useful to know if the car has a problem, or to identify any of the lights that appear on the dash. But need to make sure you are fully aware you can cause serious issue if you choose to change something physically, best to understand what the code means then ask a local garage if they can fix it.It uses the ODB connection and instantly provides the report of what is the issue. with additional usb you can actually print out the report. Its pretty simple and effectively easy to use, unsure about costs as there are other brands which can offer more however currently its a decent price. Handy to have around when you have a random emergency before panicking and paying for an extortionate bill.

Simple to operate and saves a fortune.
The media could not be loaded. Why pay £80 for a garage to hook their machine up, when this is less than half the price and you can use it over and over again?I've been using a Bluetooth OBD2 reader until now, however this seems to be easier; no having to hook up your phone, etc to Bluetooth. Simply plug this reader in and it powers it up.Operation is simple. Click on the engine scan button and it does the rest. You can save the data or transfer to a pc via the included cable.Thankfully, I haven't got any current issues with my car engines, but this will be the first port of call in the future. I'll be sure to update it once I've used it with a fault, but for now I'm happy 5hst there are no faults detected.Definitely a recommended OBD2 reader.

More suited to Experienced or Pro Users
The Reader is made from a hard, durable and easy to clean plastic and the cables is nice and thick. So, it should stand up to a lot more than occasional use.The screen is of decent enough quality and is relatively easy to read and navigate around the various menus. Navigation is done vie the arrow, ESC and OK keys and the menus are basically a drill down into and back up from. You get live data in both text and via a graphing option.I normally use a Wireless one, linked to my phone and find that especially useful. This is the same but for the more professional user. It enables you to read and clear fault codes, there is an I/M button for the emissions side of things, Diagnostic & Component testing and a whole raft of data that you can access and download. You can also print out data as well. You do get a Help key on the pad but every time I went into it, it said “it was not compatible”.The only slight negative I have is that I found the OBD plug to bit tight fitting on my VW Golf MK7. This may be down to the fact that the plug is new.Overall, this is an extremely useful and robust reader, that I feel is more suited to an experienced or professional user.At 37.99, I think it does represent very good value for money.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative and useful. Thanks for reading.

A great scan tool that is an improvement oin my old one as its a bit more easy for the layman to follow. Great for self diagnosing any issues before it gets to the garage or to work on a car yourself. Well made and robust mine lives in teh boot of my car for whenever my wife hears a new rattle or noise she doesnt like ( Ha Ha). A great entrly level model and better than some of teh super cheap ones

Easy to use. Portable.
I received this item from the Amazon Vine Program.I got this one for my husband. We do not have a brand new car so we make sure that our car is always in great condition. My husband likes to know any issues with the car and have it fixed before it gets worse. He said owning this reader is very useful and practical. Here what he had to say about it:- Easy to use and instructions are easy to follow.- Fast results and easy to read. Will give error code if there is a problem with the car.- Portable and handy. Easiest way to check if there is a problem with our car and to know what the problem is before bringing it to the mechanic- Reader looks well made and durable- Great value for money at it’s current price. Very useful- Includes a USB so it can be plugged to a computer or laptop and results/ diagnostics can be printedOverall my husband is very satisfied with it. It’s easy to use and operate. He is totally recommending it.5 stars

easy to use
I can't profess to knowing what I'm doing with these things but I kinda feel like that's the case for a lot of people who pretend they do. Hah.It's got a colour screen and a usb thing which I haven't tried yet as I am not 100% sure how to.Useful when you have an error pop up but also useful when you don't to see stuff like battery levels and so on. Potentially you can save a lot of money given how much they like to charge you to "hook it up to the machine".
