Vespertine Audio CD – Audiobook, January 24, 2025

After the success of her previous release, Homogenic, in which there were a string of hits in wide-ranging genres and sub-genres, Bjork manages to do it again, with Vespertine. What's unique about this CD (like all of her releases) is the fact that she manages to reinvent herself with each one; you'll never hear a Bjork release that's similar to another in her catalog. Vespertine is a very elegant and more subtle (on average) release, as opposed to Homogenic or anything before it. Songs like Pagan Poetry and the very welcome Frosti contrast one another, yet they're meant to be on this CD, showcasing Bjork's incredible versatility. No two songs sound the same on Vespertine, and for that, prepare yourself for a diverse musical journey that will trigger the imagination. I've found that the vast majority of Bjork's songs take me places in my imagination; very few artists have ever had that type of effect on me. This release is right up there with Homogenic and Medulla, and comes highly recommended.

the cover is very pretty and the vibe of the cd is very celestial (in my opinion) perfect for rainy days and is one of her best albums (best songs in my opinion are hidden place and its not up to you)

Friends think I'm crazy, but I love this album. This is music that is haunting, jarring, soothing, performance art, which had to be made. It was through Bjork that it made itself known. It is important.

Cassette arrived without mp3 download card. The sticker on the packaging of my item is different than the photo here. There is no mention of a download. ...But I LOVE this album. Her best.

My absolute favorite CD by Bjork. Smooth and Silky, the sound of this CD draws you in and keeps you addicted, especially to her unique voice. A must have for Bjork fans!

This took a really long time to get to me. The disk runs well however the inside of the case came damaged.
