My Royal Prestige branded filter was throwing carbon residue that indicated me that was time for replacement, knowing that Royal prestige is a scammer company decided to look around and wala, this filter looked the same and decided to try it, good choice because resulting it was the same and for a better price. Royal prestige would charge about 10x the price so if you want to save money buy this and will do the job probably better that the cheap products sold by royal prestige for a premium price.

Customer service is all but nonexistent nowadays. The Water Chef water softener is a great solution for an apartment dweller in an area with hard water.I've had this system for years, and whenever there's been problem -- unlike other companies who make it next to impossible to speak with a representative, in the hopes that you will just give up-- this company actually supports their product, WILL call you back, and wants to solve the problem to assure your system is working properly.

Have had this for three plus years now and it's great. I like it and know it works. Cleaner feeling skin, hair and more. Drying time after bathing is quicker than normal showering for sure. I feel it give me a better cleaning when bathing and I feel better! This being a single pack is great too saving money at the time for other things. They do have double packs that are I think about $2 cheaper but for those who want to have a long lasting clean bathing experience the one still does depending on how many showering your house has, so this filter can last up to like 6-8 months for one person maybe even two.

The red/brown stains around the edges of the shower door and tile appears to have been eliminated. The smell of chlorine and sulfur smell has not been noticeable so far. Hopefully the calcium from lime rock is being removed. There seems to be less residual build up on the shower doors. I will know more as we use it longer.

I did much research before deciding on the Water Chef shower filtration unit. To say I love it is an understatement, I refuse to live without it. I live in a town where the water is hard and full of minerals. Before installing the Water Chef filter I'd find my skin felt itchy after showering and my hair felt dry after shampooing. I thought to myself if I filter the drinking and cooking water it only makes sense to filter the water I bathe with. When it's time to replace the filter I just unscrew the bottom of the housing and pop the new one in. You'll feel the softness of the water immediately. Do run the water for a bit after installing your filter till it runs clear. This only takes a few moments. It's hard to describe the difference in how the water feels, you just need to experience it. The company and the customer service is wonderful, they stand behind their products. So if you want glossier hair and softer skin after showering check out Water Chef. I'll know you'll be as pleased as I am.
