Actually came undamaged
Typical unfinished wood pole/curtain rod. Actually came in a hard long tube with dense foam on each end. No damage at all. Same price as box store but delivered to your house.

The product itself is great! Nice solid piece of metal
The product itself is great! Nice solid piece of metal. However Amazon puts a sticker on it for their inventory that is really hard to search off without damaging the pipe. I wish amazon would have just put their sticker over the company’s sticker that came off with no problem.

Breaking within a month of use.
Looks nice, but isnt solid wood--the bar is spliced together "for extra strength" but within a month of use it is already cracking at the seams. Not worth the money, unfortunately.

Bronze-like Closet Rod
It is a light steel rod and will definitely support a heavy load. It's color is a dark bronze that appears similar to metallic paint on a car. It really does look like oil rubbed bronze. The finish appears to be very hard and I hope that it will not scratch too badly from hangers. Most steel rods get some scratches (or dents in the case of wood). The price of $24.99 was very good when compared with other bronze colored rods I have seen running in the $50-80.00 area.

NOT one solid pole.
poles are segments that have been glue bonded and beveled into a long pole. The woodworking was excellent....but I would not trust the bonding in extended wet conditions.

Great closet rod
Works great - only had it 2 months but don't see any wear on the top from the hangers. Looks like they're going to work out great (bought 6 - have them in all my closets). The color is perfect with my other ORB hardware.

great product but mishandled in the distro center and packaged poorly
These poles are great quality, but the packaging is terrible and it is clear that they were mishandled in the distribution center. There are a lot of scrapes and gashes in the bronze coating on about half of the ones I ordered. I found them for the same price at a local big box hardware store. That's a better bet since you don't want to try to ship these back to amazon and you can see what you're getting up front. But if you get lucky and they are undamaged this is a great product. These aren't going to bend on you anytime soon. They say support is required for poles beyond 48" but if you are sparsely populating these you could push that. The hangers sliding across don't seem to wear down the coating - it is blunt force that makes the coating peel. Also, it will peel at the ends if you attempt to cut these to a smaller size. I tried using a heavy duty pipe cutter but that didn't work because these are so thick. The hacksaw method recommended works pretty good if you have a system to lock the rod into place when cutting but you have to be careful not to chip the coating when doing so.

Truly Heavy Duty
I spanned it 80 inches with only stud mounted supports at each ends and I could do pull-ups at the bar's center, and I weight ~200 lbs. The bar looks nice to and the paint seems tough.
