Would the bird or the butterfly be too big for a clutch that is 10 1/2" wide?

I don’t think so. It would definitely be the focus of your clutch.

Have these. so cute but i realized i don't have any purses with a fold over opening to close together! can i use these in any other way?

I make fabric covered boxes (Cartonnage) and used these to close the box. They are cute.
