Yummie
I was a little skeptical, because $12 is just a bit expensive for this tiny can? But much to my delight. The meat inside is delicious and yummy. I was a little worried about that lemon in it however, I just dumped out the oil and popped it in with my pasta. Only a very light lemon flavor remained I suppose I could’ve rinsed it? instead, but I chose not to. It’s very good it’s perfect and there were no shells in my can. I will definitely buy it again because my husband doesn’t eat lobster so it’s a nice treat for me definitely yummier than a can of tuna!!!

Please do not buy this item.
I live in Atlantic Canada, & I ordered this for my Godmother in New Mexico, who is also from Atlantic Canada, so we are both very familiar with how the lobster should look & taste. It is very, very watery & very, very salty, & barely any lobster in it & no taste to it. It was not expired. I paid a lot of money for this lobster, & it was not worth anything. I read the reviews before I placed my order, & honestly, I thought buyers were expecting the lobster to be higher quality, but I now realize that all of the negative reviews were 100% accurate. Please don't make the same mistake I did, & please do not waste your money on this item. This is NOT an accurate description of what Atlantic lobster is supposed to look & especially what it is supposed to taste.

It's canned lobster
Really wanted to give this product 5 stars but at a near $15 for what is essentially a few large spoonfuls of product, I couldn't. The product is AMAZING, easily the best tasting product (fish or otherwise) I've ever just opened and ate out of a can with no preparation whatsoever. Easily and by far. Neat little environmentally-friendly Canadian company founded by an actual chef in 2014 (or so their website says) who source their product (this particular variety, lobster) off Prince Edward Island. Love the simplicity of the ingredients, literally: lobster, lobster, olive oil. Can't get more transparent than that. Like you can see in the photo reviews it's a majority base of shredded lobster (knuckle meat I assume) mixed with larger whole chunks of lobster (claw meat, I assume). Not impressed with the volume but VERY tasty and filling nonetheless. Without knocking the price again, it is lobster after all, good quality lobster at that. Very unique product (can hardly find anything like this in the States!). So while it's not very likely something the average person will be able to stock their pantry with on a regular basis, it definitely makes for a nice little treat or unique and tasty gift for the seafood lover in your life. If you can afford to splurge a little and enjoy fish or seafood, as long as you keep in mind its meat from a can and don't expect a fancy restaurant dish, I'd say it's worth ordering to try at least once or to keep a can around if you get a craving for lobster and aren't in the mood or don't have the time to get any. Like another reviewer mentioned, adding this to beef up an otherwise boring dish of pasta or rice or soup, chili, or what have you seems like it'd be pretty good as well. Endless quick and creative possibilities. Only ordered one unit. No shell in mine. I suppose one should practice due diligence with any food product one didn't prepare themself. I don't write reviews often but I really think other people who enjoy seafood, especially lobster, (and don't have the tasting standards of a 17th-century English monarch) should know, if you're gonna spend near $15 on a single can of something, this should probably be it. Be nice of them to add more volume or lower the price some but, it is lobster, pure lobster, and it does come all the way from Canada. You get what you pay for with this in my opinion. Probably want to eat it slow to savor and enjoy the product, maybe pair with a glass of wine, soda crackers, or something. Like I said earlier it's not a big can. You can easily wolf the whole thing down in a few spoonfuls without much difficulty.

Not worth it
I actually got a few pieces of shell in the small can. That seems ridiculous considering the cost. Its actually decent lobster chunks but the lemon flavoring and shell shards was a turnoff.

Delicious!
Bought a can to try and used it to make Lobster Maque Choux. It’s delicious!!! The lobster is canned in olive oil and lemon; I added all of it to my recipe. Tasted amazing! The biggest negatives are the cost and the size of the meat. The can was expensive for a small quantity and most of the meat was smaller bits like light tuna with a bit of lobster claw in my can. Being able to open a can of lobster fully cooked and ready to eat is really the convenience you are paying for. I like that this can sit on my shelf and not in my freezer, ready to use whenever the mood for lobster strikes. It tastes great and I will definitely be keeping a can or two in my pantry from now on.

Scout canned Atlantic Canadian Lobster
Horrid! I read up on this and found out I received the butter which is reportedly the best. It is basically inedible. The texture is what you would expect but the flavor...worst I have ever had. Worse than overcooked warm water Rock Lobster (which tastes like an old sock in itself). The price didn't seem bad, about $22 for a tin to try. A one dollar can of generic sardines from the Dollar Store is far superior!

EXPENSIVE BUT REALLY GOOD
Unusual seafood item that is a pricey, luxury item, but rather tasty, if you're into it. When you feel like splurging on canned seafood, this is it-

I’m embarrassed that I was so mistaken about what I ordered. I agree with some of the other reviewers the small amount is a wake up call. Hopefully this lesson will prevent me from making similar mistakes in the future. Over $20.00 an ounce.
