I would give 6 stars if I could! This ball is beyond amazing!! I live a life where I'm constantly using my body through pickleball, strength training, pilates, yoga, biking, barre, hiking, etc., but as I'm now in my 50s, I've started to have more pains in various parts of my body and I can't seem to recover as quickly as before. I already use the Trigger Point foam roller every day to deal with these issues, but there are some areas that the roller can't reach or can't properly massage, so I bought this ball. I've been using this ball for a few months now and all I can say is that this product is amazing! I wish I bought it sooner. I've had shoulder problems for the past four months, but nothing I did helped and I was getting worried. I massaged my armpits with this ball and the pain went away in after a few minutes. It seems that the muscles under my right armpit that the roller couldn't fully loosen had become stiff, pulling on the upper shoulder muscles which causing the pain. I've tried KT tape and other things but nothing really helped. If your shoulder pain is not due to a joint issue or severe overuse, try pinching the muscles under your armpit to see if they are stiff. If they are, it can be effective to massage them by rolling this ball using a wall. Other recommended uses are for massaging the buttock muscles and the stomach area. If you spend a long time using a computer or cell phone, your stomach will become increasingly stiff and could cause back pain. To prevent this, lie face down and place the ball under your stomach, then slowly exhale while pushing the ball in and gently rolling it around to loosen the muscles in your abdomen area. This ball makes it easy to massage the neck, which is difficult to do at the right angle with the roller. My husband also loves this ball!
