Extremely high class luggage at a good price
I bought this luggage for a 9 day trip to London and Ibiza/Formentera because I wanted to go carry-on only but also have as much room to pack for two climates as I could get. This bag delivered big time, I had ample room for clothes for the trip, sandals for the beach, and even a beach towel. The outside pocket made it convenient to place my liquids bag separate from everything for security purposes. The dimensions posted on Amazon are very accurate having measured the suitcase myself. I was concerned because it just met American Airlines carry-on requirements, but it fit in the overhead compartment on an American Airlines Airbus A330 and a British Airways Embraer 190SR with room to spare (unexpanded obviously). The bag itself is extremely light but very solid, I never had to worry about crushing or other outside problems. I did not get to test it in the rain so I can't speak to that. The wheels were quiet and effective for rolling through airports, though because of its two wheel design navigating winding rope lines at airports was challenging. Spinner suitcases navigated these better but because it had plenty of handles and was fairly light I could just pick it up when needed. I didn't want a spinner purposely because the wheels add extra to the dimensions, where these wheels are nice and flush with the suitcase, so for me a very worthwhile trade-off. The suitcase also never tipped forward which was the big annoyance my wife's luggage suffered on the trip. Not only did I love having it for this long trip, but getting off one of our last flights there was an off-duty pilot in front of me wheeling the same case!

Travelpro Maxlite 4 = Travel Success
I needed this suitcase for a 5-day trip to Palm Springs, and was pleasantly surprised by the build quality, and durability considering the price. I'm a strategic and meticulous travel packer who still overpacks somewhat, and the Maxlite 4 handled (withstood) my abuse.I ordered the largest bag I could carry-on domestically, and this bag might've even been too big for me; so its got plenty of room. I don't travel too much any more so I can't justify a fortune on travel gear. I'm on an over night with my family as we speak, both my wife and I are able to share this bag, and still keep it very tight without using the expansion zipper. One thing unique to this suitcase is the outer fabric, its kinda stretchy, like polyester adidas sweatpants, yet durable. That may be contributing to its light weight. It has pockets and an expansion zipper I'll never use. I have an ancient Swiss Gear bag which has held up for close to 10 years now, and a Delsey bag, which has been with me 5+ years. I'm happy to add the Maxlite 4 to my collection.I would buy this again, and recommend it. Among the 3 bags, the same sized Swiss Gear bag feels the toughest and most durable, and may have a bit more room, but that's splitting hairs. The Delsey is the smallest of the three, mind you they're all 22" roll boards. If they were all the same color, you might not be able to tell them apart. The stand out feature among the three bags is the collapsable handle. It has 2 height stops, which I like. the lower height stop makes it easy for me to put my messenger bag on top of the case while I'm wading through the security line. The upper stop is probably better for a taller person, or it perhaps I had a tall backpack, rather than a short and wide messenger bag.Impressed so far. Will update if the bag fails, or any parts break off. Safe travels!

Super durable!
Bought this in 2017... It is 2025 now, and I have flown multiple flights every year since, packed to the gills and it is still going strong! Zippers, handles, pockets, all in great condition!

Best Rollaboard I've Used
Very nice Rollaboard--so nice that I bought a second one even after a wheel fell off the first similar one (earlier Maxlite 3) I had. The Maxlite 4 has an even handier pocket arrangement than the 3. The nice long handle makes this very easy to walk fast with when you are pressed for time at the airport. Extremely lightweight for as sturdy as the expandable box part seems to be. Very commodious for such a small outside dimension. The fact that the wheels are built in rather than sticking out should keep the wheels protected and gives a total bag length with more internal room because the wheels aren't adding much to the bag size.

Sturdy, Quality, Ease of Use- Recommended
I took this as my only piece of luggage through a 3 week tour through Europe. I was on 6 planes and 3 trains, and it held up very well! It is lighter than most other rolling carry-ons, and the wheels were strong over many terrains including a good amount of cobblestones (if you are walking these types of streets, I recommend 2 inline wheels instead of 4 swivels).Side note- if, like me, you are traveling many places with one small piece of luggage, I highly recommend getting the Amazon Basics 4 Piece Packing Cubes (I got mine on Prime Now) they all fit perfectly in the suitcase, and I was able to take them out at each stop and use them like drawers, so I didn't have to unpack everything each time. I did roll my clothes to pack in them.Out of the 6 planes, I only had to check the suitcase once and that was due to weight rather than size. It always fit in the overhead compartments. It's relatively sleek (at least compared to my last rolling carry-on) and durable.
