Stash buster!!!
Crocheter/yarn addict. This was one of my best purchase this year. The key is the right yarn. Not all yarn will work for this machine most worsted weight and thick dk weight. Which is 85% of my stash. After finding that I like crocheting blankets it left a whole lot of onesie and twosie balls. I got this to lower my stash. Now I can hand crank a hat in 45minutes and get rid of one ball of yarn. I got the electric crank to save my shoulders and elbow from wear and tear. In 3 weeks I have 42 hats ready and one huge storage box empty and 16more boxes to go

Broken counter from the start on 2!!
BUTER BEWARE. I had the pink one of these, works great. We got the purple one and the counter never worked. Contacted the company and their solution was for me to buy a different counter for the machine that was broken from the first hat I made, not to try to work with me to fix or replace their product. I contacted Amazon, they sent a replacement, the replacement had the same issue. I’m sending both of them back. This was a total pain and the seller was completely horrible to deal with. Would not recommend.

Durable, Finicky, Worth It
I’ve used this fairly heavily for about a week now and it definitely has pros and cons but I am overall happy with the purchase! I HAVE had stitch dropping problems as other reviewers noted, I HAVE NOT had the stitch counter break (yet?) as with other reviewers I HAVE used this only with worsted weight or fiber, as well as some textured yarns Cons: —-Will drop stitches, and/or hold on to stitches for too long if you are not careful, reversing the handle to fix this does not “perl” it simply continues the knit motion only spinning the opposite way. If you don’t notice problems, you restart. Pros: —-even frogging an entire scarf that dropped a stitch and restarting takes a few hours as compared to the months of work hand knitting takes, so I don’t care. —-can be used on my lap on the couch, well chaise at least, I go cross cross applesauce and it sits half on me half on a blanket Not really Cons, just annoyances: —- the “1” stitch is not super well marked, it is a white hook, but it hides in the knitting once you get going, going to mark around it with nail polish when I get a chance —-the panel setting is gross and loose, prefer to knit tubes then use steeking method to open them up —- stitch counter goes a little wonky if machine is not flat, like if it’s propped at an angle on my lap on the couch, that’s just the nature of the counter mechanics though, most will do that. Tips: —-EVEN TENSION IS EVERYTHING not pulling, but not loose, I don’t use the tension arm, it’s awkward while on a couch and depending on the yarn can split the fiber or cause loose weave to bunch up and felt together. I just hold the yarn with a few fingers of the hand I use to stabilize the machine. (Photo included) —- loose weave yarns (think: Lion Brand Landscapes or a natural fiber/wool/alpaca) work great despite tendencies to felt together in regular knitting, but textured yarns (think Lion Brand Homespun or other yarns with “bits”)will jam and cause bunched stitches I am busting through my stash with this baby and loving it, though don’t know HOW people stick power drills on them, I would not trust the machine to be consistent enough for that. All in all a good machine that needs a little baby-ing but can create beautiful consistent work at a fraction of the time it takes to hand knit. You are best to know how to knit already (helps with dropped stitches) but I don’t believe that is a requirement to have success with it.

Long time knitter without time to knit anymore
As a long time knitter (15 years), I never wanted to buy a knitting machine. But after having a baby I lost all the time I had to knit and didn’t knit for a whole year. To start knitting again, I decided to start with smaller projects such as socks for my toddler and decided to get the 22 needle knitting machine to make some test. I bought this machine to knit for my toddler mostly and make socks, tights/pants, and sweaters. The package comes with the knitting machine, a crochet hook, a needle and a couple of sample yarn. There is a guidebook to get started too. The sample yarn was very useful as for a test run. The yarn is easy to set up, after 10 min I knitting with the machine. I love hand knitting, it is my lifetime favorite hobby and love the diverse stitches we can do by hand etc. But for simple things, that requires only one stitch and if you do not have time to knit this machine is an eye opener. After I finished with my sample yarn, I started to make socks, and I finished one pair in a couple of hours (including hand the toes and heels) as opposed to a week or two knitting at least 2 hours a day (time that I don’t have anymore). So if you are a knitter like me but don’t have time to knit anymore, using this knitting machine is a nice way to make simple and fast knits.
