This works great for our cats - I'm sure not all cats approve. Made urine collection easy, simple, and non-invasive.

This worked so well for collecting a urine sample for our cat. We were originally given Nosorb from the vet and our cat refused to pee in the litter box with it. I was stressing out because I didn’t want her to undergo the procedure for them to get it at the vet, so I found this on Amazon and it worked! It’s a small amount - but we used a smaller litter box and it covered the entire base. We put our cat into it and it took her a few tries but she finally went! Her urine didn’t absorb into the litter but instead sat on top. I was able to easily suck up the pee using a syringe (I wouldn’t recommend the eye dropper they provide as it takes forever). The texture was sand like and much closer to actual litter texture. Highly recommend!

I recently had to obtain a urine sample at home for my senior cat and he absolutely refused to use the fake litter the vet provided. I had read about this product and decided to give it a try, and within 1.5 hours my cat used the litter box! I did use all 3 litter packs to make sure there was enough "litter" in our large litter box, but I was easily able to get a clean urine sample to bring to the vet. If your cat won't use the vet-provided fake litter, definitely give this a try!

This product works very well. I found it odd that there are 3 little bags of kitty litter but only 2 test strips. Be sure to read the test strip immediately after the 60 seconds. After a few minutes the strip tends to fade and so you're not getting an accurate reading.

It did what it said it would. Easy to get a sample for the vet. No, there isn’t a lot of product included. I used all the bags. I personally lined the litter box with a trash bag liner and then poured this litter in. It was very simple to then use the pipette included to get the sample. Although you don’t get much I do appreciate that there’s little waste. After the urine is collected all the litter gets thrown away anyway. Yes it’s expensive but how else can you get a cat urine sample? This is for sure the simplest way!

This is the perfect litter to use when a urine sample needs to be collected for the vet; the urine pools on top of the litter and the included bulb syringes (think mini turkey baster) make it very easy to collect the urine and store it in the vial prior to bringing the sample to the vet. I've had to use this litter twice with our cats and the different texture from their regular litter didn't bother them at all. The litter comes in 3 small bags and I did have to use all of them both times.

I specifically ordered a product called kit 4cat which my vet recommended and I received this product. Maybe they change the name of the product but I've never heard of this stuff before. Yesi t does what the other brand is supposed to do and I'm sure this is far cheaper than the vet getting a sample from the cat. But I was a little bugged that they only included two test strips one little squeezy plastic tube thing which is clear and very easy to misplace as I did. Since you get three packs of sand, I'm baffled why they didn't include three test strips or an extra squeezy tube to collect the urine for each testing. For the cost of 3 really small bags of sand I felt they could have splurged a little and included two or three squeeze tubes. I needed to do a secondary test first thing in the morning as recommended and couldn't find the dang squeeze tube anywhere. Couldn't find any thing to use in place of the cheap squeeze tube so I just dipped the strips into the urine puddles around the sand. You clean off the strips of excess urine and compare the colors to the chart on the back of the instruction card. Hopefully I did the test strips correctly. Don't forget to refrigerate the test strips and then take them to your vet to have them evaluate them. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I selected what my vet recommended and this is what I got. I think if I have to do it again I will look for something else.

This stuff is great! My vet had recommended a completely different version of this and my cat refused to pee in it. So I gave this a shot and it still took some time for him to use it. But he finally did. This is much more like regular litter and it fully pooled at the top and was very easy to get the urine sample. This is a great product!

The urine floats on top. It is amazing. We just tried it and my cat was fine. She only had stomach problem. Saved money on a lot of useless tests.

Easy to use, although pipette and test tube a bit small - however loved the second strip just in case. The protein marker was difficult to read due to very similar colours but thought there was an issue. We tested our cat, he used the litter as normal stuff (use alone - no other litter. Don't be deterred by lack of coverage. We have extra large cat -6.8kg - so extra large litter tray, sparse cover, still worked well) we thought possible urinary infection as blocked 1 year ago and was (sorry graphic) grooming his penis in a way he hasn't before. Test suggested ph problem (UTI) and protein in urine (kidney problem). Straight to vet who confirmed PH imbalance possible cystitis, possible early diagnosis of kidney disease.... that was after blood tests and further urine analysis. So for an extremely nervous stressed out cat this worked well to test before subjecting him to the severe stress of a visit to the vet. Although that is where it ulimately led! Will buy again!! This is an awesome product. We have been using Pretty litter and when it indicated blue meaning possible urinary tract infection we phoned the vet. They explained we could find a product such as this to collect a sample for them to test. They explained it is a much more difficult process in the office as one of my cats is shall we say aggressive with the vet. So we tried another product first which I'm sure works fine for some but my cats wouldn't use it as it looked and felt nothing like cat litter. So round 2 I found this product and it seemed to fix the issues I was having. I set up a small litter box and separated my cats they each had a turn. I was amazed this product feels and looks like sand but let me tell you it acts very different. It was amazing the cats jumped right in they can't resist a fresh litter box. The urine sits perfectly on top and was extremely easy to collect and put in the sample tube. I labeled and placed the samples in the fridge to bring to the vet in the morning. Once at the vet it only took them around 15 minutes to process the samples. We found that our little boy Romeo had a mild bladder infection. We caught it early so a bit of antibiotics and a food change and we were good to go. I will be using this product exclusively anytime I am concerned with my pets health. It is such an easy and affordable process. I just want to thank the makers of this amazing medical tool.
