Slick And Easy
Bought this as part of an upgrade to my house WiFi because it's wired and frankly better than a mesh type system which does it's job but can't compete with a more pro-setup such as this which, is designed for offices, hotels and workplaces.Firstly to backtrack. I renovated my house back to bare walls a few years ago and as part of that I ran in Cat6 everywhere. As an engineer I still liked the idea of being able to use wiring for data because bottom line it's faster. At the time I had the usual WiFi router for through the air stuff and in each room the ability to use Cat6.However thanks to my foresight of using foil backed plasterboard to help with energy I also when I finished realised that I'd basically created a bit of a Faraday cage and thus my WiFi was never fantastic. So, when better systems rocked up I used them and currently have five BT mesh units scattered around which, work but the range is a bit low.And then this system came to my attention via my son who was asked to install an AP system during a house rewiring he was doing. Bit of research and I have finally found the perfect system for me. A wired AP network that means I don't have to rely on passthrough or mesh for WiFi around my house and garden. Oh yes, garden as well because TP Link make outside AP's which I've also bought. I have a bunch of hedgehogs around and I've got WiFi cameras to catch them bumbling around at night which my wife and I really like to see.So here we are. A ceiling mounted unit which is neat, works superbly well and is POE - kind of.First off the TP Link system makes a big thing of POE which this is but not quite like the fully POE units that cost a bit more. I bought in total a controller, POE network switch and four AP's thinking that they would all just run off the POE switch which, they don't. Two of the AP's do - the more expensive ones - but this one has a powered adaptor.Basically, you run a LAN cable to the POE adaptor which is plugged in and then run the Cat5 or 6 to this WiFi AP. Not the end of the world but I do need a couple more which, I will spend more on so I can forget the powered adaptor that this uses.Once connected and powered up, using the Omada app and/or the control module you log in and look for the unit. Once found - which is automatic - give it a name and it's on your system which you will have already set up with SSID and password of your choice. The unit itself is well made and mounts primarily on a ceiling but could go on a wall as well. The Cat 5 or 6 cable entry is at the back and designed so that you don't see the cable which, will presumably have been fed through a hole predrilled. This is the one downside to this system for many. You need to run cat5 or 6 to where it's located and whilst in my opinion a far better way of setting up a full house WiFi does mean some work. I was lucky in that entirely by chance I'd decided years ago to run in loads of the stuff before plastering and painting means for me it's not a big job. However if you do need to run in cable then if you can't do it yourself then that will cost you.And cost. In reality this system excluding cable and fitting is cheaper than the BT mesh system. And way, way better. If you really do want great WiFi everywhere and the means to easily control access in in idiot proof way then this is the way forward. Yes, you need to run cable but the end result is a far better system.

Excellent Performance and Smooth Roaming
I have been a satisfied user of TP-Link products, and the TP-Link AC1750 Wireless Access Point has once again impressed me with its outstanding performance and reliability. As a previous owner of the EAP 245, I decided to keep using these Wi-Fi 5 models, and I am delighted with my decision.Firstly, I must note that I received the EAP 265HD v1 version instead of the v2, but it still exceeded my expectations. Setting up the access point was a breeze, thanks to the seamless provisioning and adoption process through the Omada software controller. The controller's analytics feature has proven to be valuable, providing me with useful insights into my network's performance. One of the standout features of this access point is its ability to facilitate smooth multi-AP roaming. I have multiple access points installed in my home, and I have not experienced any noticeable disruptions or drop-offs when moving between different areas. The transition is seamless, allowing me to enjoy uninterrupted connectivity on all my devices. In terms of speed, this access point has consistently delivered impressive results. Even when located approximately 10 meters away with some obstructions in the way, I have achieved speeds consistently exceeding 500Mbps, with a mere 5ms ping. This level of performance is particularly remarkable considering my gigabit fiber-backed network.Overall, I am thoroughly satisfied with the TP-Link AC1750 Wireless Access Point. It has proven to be a reliable and high-performing device, surpassing my expectations. The seamless roaming, easy setup through the Omada software controller, and impressive speed capabilities make this access point an excellent choice for anyone seeking a reliable and robust wireless network solution. I highly recommend it.

Great solution
I have switched from multiple vendor access points to one solution from TP-Link.- Signal quality is gread- Range is great- Roaming from one access point to another is fine- One SSID all over the place- Software (Omada) is working great and has great featuresUnfortunately the wall or ceiling mount plate is different for the different models - i wish they would be the same for all models :-)I would like the option to have multiple WiFi networks.I am using the free Omada Software, but will buy the Hardware Omada controller - maybe there is the option to have multiple WiFi'sOverall satisfaction is great and i can recommend it.
