I'm so impressed
I have been using a mic stand on an arm that swivels out for when I am on zoom, which happens all the time. The arm was never quite right, so I just wanted a simple and inexpensive stand that I could put on my desk. That's what this is.I am very surprised by the quality of this stand. It is shockingly heavy, for the size. And the build quality is excellent. Your mic can be mounded on those elastic bands to prevent noises from traveling up from the table or desk. Works great. My mic slipped right in. It's just the right height to put the mic at my mouth level. If I raise my seat, I could also raise the stand by several inches. And it has an angle adjustment as well.Very nice mic stand--much better than anticipated. I'm happy.

Fantastic purchase, would give it 6 stars if I could
Using this for my desktop mic for an online radio show. It's weighted perfectly and much smaller and more functional than what I used before. Having the weight offset is perfect, it's very stable and took me only a couple of minutes to get it all set up. I used my existing shock mount, the one provided would have been too small, but it connected up with no problem.

Sturdy, easy to set up, will hold a variety of mic sizes, and at various angles
Wow, I didn't expect this mic stand to be so well-designed. I bought it to support my Samson mic for recording podcasts and for use with voice recognition software (like Dragon). The stand was elegantly packaged with lots of padding so it wouldn't be damaged during shipping.I was able to set it up in minutes. The pieces fit together intuitively, but the mic stand also has a nicely illustrated user manual, if you're not sure. This is a heavy stand. It would take a lot to knock it over. And, because it's so heavy, the mic can be swung nearly 360 degrees, vertically, to achieve the exact angle you need.Likewise, the height is adjustable. I can use it at my desk. I can set it on a low coffee table and raise the mic to record there, too.For some, this mic stand might seem a bit too tall. The basic stand (not including the mic holder attachment) is about ten inches tall. But, if that's an issue, you can swing the mic so it points down at an angle. Then, it'll probably be fine for your use. This is probably the only mic stand I'll need for most of my dictating and recording. Highly recommended!

GREAT Stand, but...
The stand itself is great, sturdy and solidly built, the only issue with it was the shock mount it comes with, its garbage. It was too small to fit my Audio-Technica AT2020, so I just used an old shock mount I had laying around, so definitely keep that in mind! Other than that, it doesnt sway and it has a rubberized bottom so it doesn't slide. Definitively worth the money!

Works great!
I bought this mic stand along with a Kaotica ball filter and it holds up perfect to the weight! The bottom of the stand is heavy and I was curious about this. When adding my mic and my Kaotica ball filter to it it doesn't tip over, wow! This is a really good buy. I don't have some sort of professional studio and was looking for something to fit perfectly on my desk along with my computer and thought I would try this mic stand. No problem.

Works fine, but...
No, this does not FULLY support the AT2020, the mic is slightly too big for it...
