HiLetgo 5pcs LM2596S-ADJ Power Module DC-DC Buck Regulator 3A Adjustable 5V/12V/24V

I've lost track of how many Pi's I've powered with these! They're so handy! It's quite common for me to have, say, 12VDC, 19VDC, or something similar available, no AC outlets, and I want to put a Raspberry Pi in there. Just grab one of these, set it with a voltmeter to 5.1V, and THEN hook it up to the 5V GPIO pins on the Pi. Another one good to go! WARNING!!! DO NOT just hook it straight up! Always set it first, with a voltmeter. They come from the factory, set way high, and that will fry the Pi!

My old Engel had a non-digital thermostat, so the knob setting was a certain degree below ambient. Not good when the temperature would swing 30 degrees in a day. The fridge is 120v/24v/12v and the DC power source was be anywhere from 11.5v to 40v depending on the input power you were using. I could only find a digital thermostat that was labeled as 12v and I needed one that could work from 12v to 40v, so I bought these and put one between the power source and the thermostat. It has been worked perfectly.

These are not built to the standards you see in the pictures. They have the inferior electrolytic capacitor vs polymer as shown in the pictures. I guess I should have seen the signs when their arrows don't even show the power flow in the correct direction.

Needed small package to fit in tight space and this unit works for me

Solid little buck converters. Wish the terminal holes were slightly bigger but nothing to cry over =)
