Product description Review: tonsil tool - Much, much better than using a dental pick, if you are working on your tonsils. Very well worth $5. I had a hard time deciding, b/c there are lots of set with WAY more pieces, for only a few bucks more. These are good quality, with a little plastic case, and I even just the four pieces, I only really would need one or two. Review: New idea for me - I have a daughter that is a competitive swimmer and her ear canal fills with wax horribly fast. The doctor has recommended everything from 50/50 alcohol/white vinegar, otc drops to prescription drops and in the end we've settled for her getting her ears cleaned every 3 - 4 weeks. Talk about a waste of time and money. At our last visit he suggested we (carefully) try to do this on our own. This set comes in a convenient plastic box to keep them clean. Two of the tools are single ended and two are dual ended. I mostly use the little scoop looking thing on her, but also like the spring. I was surprised to find that it is thin wire and moves so you really can't hurt the ear canal unless you go too deep. The handle on two are lined, one is smooth and another is grooved. The different ends and handles makes it feel a little mis-matched. The metal finish was complete on all of them and I was unable to find any manufacturing flaws. I do wish there was some way to put a little light on the end to make it easier to see when using it on someone else. In the end a money saver for me.

The ball point side is great for dabbing
Liked it so much I bought it twice. The ball end is my favorite so far, it’s great for people that don’t require globs

Not For Everyone
Honestly, I dunno what I thought when I bought these because I have super liquidy ear wax. Initially I thought there could be some blockage causing so much leaky ear wax during the night. But after using all of the tools, and having them come out with a tiny little yellowish-clear liquid on the tip, I quickly realized this wasn’t going to work for me. I’m kinda jealous of all the rave reviews but at least I know my ears are clean. Just goes to show you that everyone’s anatomy is different!

Handy Ear Tools Help Remove Wax Build-Up
These are effective ear tools if caution is used. They come with no directions, but instructions can be found on Amazon’s product page. I find the spiral ear pick works best for me. My ear canals are smaller than most (hereditary), and tend to plug up easily. These tools can fit inside my canals, and they do help remove excess wax. I do have to soften the wax first though—over-the-counter softeners (like Debrox or Walmart’s generic brand) do that job, but these tools fine-tune the clean-up part.

useful tools for carefully removing earwax
While you always want to be careful not to damage your eardrum when putting anything small in your ear, these are useful for removing earwax (or anything else that gets in your ear canal) if used very carefully. Even though I can't see what I am doing, I prefer to clean my own ears since I can feel the pressure from the device and can be super careful about not contacting the eardrum. I just don't trust someone else to do it. It is a nice variety of tools with different tips for capturing and scraping out the earwax. There are 4 tools with one of the tools having two separate tips on either end, so there are a total of 5 tips you can use (although 2 of the tips are almost identical spoon/scoop style that only differ in width). Between all of these tips, it should be sufficient to get the earwax out. I prefer the springy tip that catches the sticky earwax, although it is is more hardened, you may need one of the scrapers to get it out. They come in a small clear plastic case that closes well. I have shown the tools in the case next to my finger for reference.
