I have 2 IBC totes that I use as rain catchment containers. On the first one, I made my own hose adapter. On the second one, I bought this adapter. After factoring my supply cost, the cost of my rookie mistakes (like buying the wrong pipe adhesive), and my time........this adapter is cheaper and well worth the trouble you spare yourself trying to make your own! 5 really BIG stars!

I LOVE that this product has the brass 3/4" hose adapter attached. This eliminates the need to purchase this item separately, and allows for replacement of the IBC adapter, should it be necessary, without having to scrap the entire thing. The unit has the 'thick' threads that fit my IBC totes, and I will be ordering more of them in the future. As this purchase has been recent, I cannot speak to durability, however, it appears to be of a quality hard plastic that will be resistant to the damage the Texas sun inflicts upon all things plastic.
