We’ve tried digital timers and they get wet in the bathroom, or my kids complain they are too loud and hurt their ears. These are easy to keep clean and stay on our sink. The colors are bright for kids to see at a glance. I even enjoy using them from time to time!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: There are great for the kids to time their brushing. Only down side was one of the broke after falling off the countertop. The glass vial inside broke, it was contained by the outer plastic cylinder. Would be better for a plastic hourglass inside or something to absorb the shock holding the internal vial.

Got pink and yellow, not exactly great colors for a boy, and the pink arrived broken.

These are so cute and a great price. Works great to give your child a bit more independence but gives you piece of mind they are still brushing for a good amount of time. So happy I bough these and wish I would have done it sooner.

My youngest child has a really difficult time giving tooth brushing enough time. I found these timers and we thought we would give them a go. Initially I loved them. They are cut looking and the colorful sand was appealing to my children. However we found out the hard way that inside that fun plastic case is a small glass tube that is easily broken. My daughter has smashed at least three of them. Thankfully the plastic exterior keeps any broken bits inside and prevents the sand from spilling out. But, they do not survive getting knocked off our bathroom counter. My older two children have been using them as well, and have managed to not break their timers. But, my youngest at almost six has gone through these like crazy. Price wise they are not difficult to replace but I do wish they were a bit more durable.

These are so cute. Purchased to motivate kids to brush their teeth, and the each have their own so they can keep track for themself. I've never timed it to see if it's exactly 2 minutes (I'm not that intense) but it seems accurate. The sand flows nicely, it's never been stuck. I recommend this.
