Mindless Fun, Fan-Service Ahoy
The Project X Zone games are very silly. The plot is absurd; the gameplay repetitive; and the challenge moderate. Yet, I couldn't help myself -- it was just so much fun, and very relaxing in the grind-time way I find tactical RPGs to be. I've played both PXZ 1 and 2 for about 70 hours apiece, and found them to be well worth my time. I recommend playing the original Project X Zone First, but it's not necessary to understanding the goofy storyline of this unnecessary sequel. Perhaps the best part about the PXZ games is they introduced me to game franchises with which I was not previously familiar, leading me to check out some of those titles and expand my gaming horizons. Even if the Japan-heavy fan-service isn't enough to entice you, I can at least say PXZ 1 and 2 are great introductions to the tactical RPG genre for the uninitiated. This led me to try Fire Emblem for the first time, and of course I'm now hopelessly addicted to that excellent series (to which PXZ owes a great debt).

Awesome game for fans of Capcom, Sega, Bandai-Namco
I absolutely love these cross over games. If you are a fan of Sega, Capcom, Bandai-Namco, you will love this game. They have many iconic characters from a broad range of games from these developers. Project X Zone 2 expands upon the first game's story and characters, introducing many new and familiar faces into the story. The game has a turn-based battle system which has button input battles. It's sort of a hybrid system that is slow paced, yet action packed enough to keep the player involved and engaged in the battles. The story is incredibly long and fun to play. There's certainly enough content to keep any gamer entertained for hours. It is a bit repetitive; most every chapter is kill all the bad-guys or don't let "x" die. Still, I think it's a great addition to any gamers collection if you are a fan of these games.

I'm not terribly far into the game yet (this appears to be a lengthy game just like the first), but I Like the improvements implemented to gameplay so far. For one your characters do way more damage, so fights appear to be less tedious and don't drag on. You can only do half the number of combos now, but the charging of certain moves is encouraged. The cast is great again (it might come down to personal preference between 1 and 2 but all the big name players are still in). The music selection is phenomenal. The sprite work is still awesome. The story is.... well you shouldn't play these games for the story. Recommended if you like tactical rpgs or if you like crossover games featuring tons of your favorite characters from different video games.

Awesome RPG Tactics!
Very fun game! Great RPG tactics game. I love the story and gameplay. I love the unique fighting system and all of the crossover from players. It feels like a Marvel vs Capcom RPG game. The battles does get pretty repetitive and drawn out sometime. There are over 40 hours of gameplay time. It is a very long game and each stage takes about an hour to clear. I love games like this, especially with all of the crossover. Also this game is very cheap (under $20), which is a very good deal for 3DS games. The difficulty is pretty easy and you do not need to play first game to know how to play this.

Great game, as good as the first really
Great game, as good as the first really, but has a lot of the same issues I felt were in the first game, the biggest complaint being that it feels like in order to have all the characters in this game, Bandai Namco had to give each character equal screen time. It leads to scenes where every character has to say a piece of a sentence making it feel really annoying during dialogues. And they quickly run out of things to say so you end up with 30 characters all saying the same thing for five minutes. Other than that Its a fun SRPG with interesting fighting mechanics that take a while to feel old. Fights are quick enough though to make it a fun, game to turn on for a 20 minute bus right and play a map, or a chapter while on the train. Another plus is getting to meet characters from games you might never had known about and gaining some interest in seeking out their games.

Really fun game, if you're a fan of any of the games the characters come from you will love this. Never played these types of games outside the first Project X Zone, but I was hooked because they included .//hack characters. Pretty easy to learn, although there is timing and depth when it comes to maximizing your damage output. Gets really long and tedious in the later chapters, but those who love long games with challenges, you'll find it to be quite welcoming. Story is a bit generic, but then again the main attraction and selling point of this game are the interactions of characters from different worlds meeting for the first time, or meeting up again, to which end this game does quite well.

STUPIDEST GAME EVER
I bought this game wanting to play as X & Zero Cause capcom doesnt care about the blue bomber anymore Sadly you dont get to pick your character & story You have to play what the game gives you & i hate it The gameplay is awefull Cant explore due to limited amout of moves Can finish off a bad guy without wasting a turn Cant let a team die This game sucks & its stupid

Been playing for a few days now, and for me personally I enjoy it very much! The game is a bit slower paced, but I like it like that. And the action sequences are pretty fun too! And just love seeing a lot of my favourite characters meeting up and being part of the story!
