This is my new favorite coffee. It is smooth and flavorful. Low acidity and excellent quality. It’s ruined me for all others!

Be sure you correctly choose whole Bean or ground coffee. By own mistake, inattention, fatigue or blurry vision have ordered whole bean when wanted ground. Champions asjust; but is another opportunity to excel. For those with failing eyesight would be helpful to have bold letter description of whole bean or ground. The coffee is very good, not quite Guatemala quality, but tasty.

I am a long-time lover and very dedicated buyer of the Mayorga Cafe Cubano and decided to try this one - based on the many other positive reviews - just to make the comparison between the two lines for myself. Both claim to be medium roast but the Cubano is, much to my preference, roasted a bit darker than this Mayan Blend. My entire system is sensitive to light roast coffees and this one just hits me wrong. It seems more acidic, has a bit of forward sourness on my palate, jolts me as if it's more highly caffeinated, and just doesn't sit well at all on my stomach. It tastes and acts just, exactly like a light roast for me and, if it didn't say "Medium" on the label, I'd swear it is one. I am an early morning, daily, "2 mugs" coffee drinker and I prefer my brew made moderately strong in a french press to keep in all the hearty goodness the beans can offer. I love medium to dark roast (right down the middle!) and definitely will not be changing from the Cubano to this one. I brewed it several different ways and strengths and it just never hit the right buttons. Sorry to say, it's just not for me. To me, Cafe Cubano is clearly the hands-down winner.

Very good coffee, good flavor, not acidic or bitter. Flavor is good enough that after drinking a mug of it you want another mug just for the taste. So many coffees taste like drinking battery acid... but not this coffee. A while back I came across "Mexican Chiapas H/g E/p Fair Trade Organic Coffee Beans (Medium Roast (Full City +)" which was my favorite coffee but it hasn't been available for a long time. Between price increases for coffee beans and availability shortages I've tried to find a substitute for Mexican Chiapas ended up trying a few different coffee beans at around the $9 a pound price range and they all were horrible, one sip and would rather dump the mug instead of drinking it. I tried Mayorga Organic Coffee Mayan Blend because it was on sale, it has a lot of flavor and is smooth and not acidic or bitter. After drinking a mug of this I want another mug of it. This will be my go to coffee from now on.
