These portable and easy to use crampons are essential for winter living. I first came across this style of crampon on a trip to Iceland. These were definitely necessary when exploring Iceland in February! When visiting all of the waterfalls, crampons like these came in very handy - there is so much water everywhere and it is so cold that almost everywhere you have to walk is slippery ice. I was lent a pair of crampons similar to these on that trip and so then decided to purchase these. It took so much stress off of me to have these - anyone who lives in a place where they get a good winter knows how stressful it can be to walk across ice on your way to and from the car or around the city. With these, I can feel confident that I will not be slipping and sliding.The best feature of these crampons is their portability. Normal crampons are quite bulky and definitely not suited for something casual like city walking or sightseeing. These are great - they are small enough to fit in a bag and take out when necessary. They are SO easy to put on and take off, and they can work on almost any kind of shoe! I have worn them with casual booties before and they worked just great.The other thing is the unique shape of the tongs - they are not completely straight so they don't jam themselves into the ice on contact, but are smaller and more curved at the tong so you can easily wear them in non-icy situations as well and they do not pose any discomfort or awkwardness with walking.This is now a winter essential for me - for both hometown use and travel use.I was sent these at a discount for my honest and unbiased review.

I purchased these crampons as a simple add-on solution for safely walking to and from my car and along my driveway, which is quite long and only partially paved. I already own a pair that are more substantial in material coverage and number of spikes but they are a bit cumbersome to quickly put on and remove for my morning commute so I was very pleased at the simplicity of these crampons. They are lightweight and the rubber is extremely flexible so I am able to carry them in my coat pocket/purse and/or side-door of my car and they stretch over my shoes pretty quickly and easily when I take them out.The rubber shows no defects, cracks, or signs of poor quality so my initial impression is that these crampons are well made and are a great value...a "must-have" addition to the winter essentials in my opinion. I cannot speak to their long-term durability as I will have to keep an eye on the effects of constantly stretching the thin rubber straps, especially in such cold temperatures.Overall, I recommend these to anyone that goes through cold winters involving snow and ice.**Please Note: I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased feedback. I really like these HL HyperLinkTM Snow Crampons Skid resistance Crampons for you shoes or boots. These are made of a strong stretchy rubber material with 5 metal prong-like studs that help to prevent slipping on snow or ice. These crampons were fairly easy to put on and have helped me while walking in the woods with snow and ice filled trails. The prong-like studs are fairly aggressive and I would recommend NOT walking on hardwood floors as it very well may scratch the surface. I forgot to take them off while driving and will admit, it would probably be safer not to be wearing while driving. However, they are very easy to pull on and off. These do provide additional reassurance while walking on ice, but I still feel I always have to continue to use caution so that I do not slip and fall. Overall I am very happy I bought these and would highly recommend them. I did buy these at reduced price for an honest review, and continue to enjoy them!
