Alba Botanica Very Emollient Cream Shave, Mango Vanilla, 8 Oz

I seem to be the person who always cuts herself while shaving my legs! This product is very smooth, moisturizing and no more, or at least fewer cutting accidents.

I like Alba Botanica Very Emollient Cream Shave, Mango Vanilla, very much for the way it softens my skin, especially since I tend to get razor bumps on my legs. The only reason I gave this product 4 instead of 5 stars is because I do not like the scent (or lack thereof). I love Alba's Mango scents in other products and it seems like the scent of this product used to be better. Now it seems bland, and even has a little plastic undertone smell. Maybe it's just me. I plan to look for something else, though, because I am a scent freak of sorts.

Good ingredients and smell is amazing!!! Kind of minty, surprisingly.

I just used alba botanica very emollient cream shave in the scent mango vanilla. The hair on my legs stood straight up and one pass of my razor got them all! I've been using this same razor for years so that's not it. I usually have to make several passes and on the side of my calves I have to shave horizontal and vertical to get all the hair.... NOT THIS TIME! I love this cream!

I bought the unscented version because I am very sensitive to artificial scents. It does have an odor but it's not unpleasant - basically smells like aloe, which it contains.It is incredibly thick and smooth, and I will try using less next time as some others have suggested. It is oddly transparent, though - when shaving in the mirror I can't tell by looking what areas need more cream applied.Unfortunately, my skin is also sensitive to some ingredient in it, and it burns when I put it on. Not enough that I'll throw away the tube, but I will be looking for another brand when it runs out. It contains several different alcohols - I don't know if it's that, or perhaps one of the other plant ingredients that I'm sensitive to. It doesn't sound like everyone experiences this, but if you have allergies or sensitive skin, I'd recommend caution.

bought because my regular Kiehl's unscented has been out of stock for so many months. wife said Alba is a responsible company and makes good product. ALBA's shaving cream is slightly denser than Kiehl's and a little greasier between the finger tips and maybe only slightly less water soluble. That diff only impacts if you use too much ALBA and 'swish' your razor in standing water to clear it. Running water under a faucet always cleared the ALBA. I use about a choc M&M sized dab of the ALBA - all it takes for my every other day stubble and leaves Mach 3 razor very clean/clear. Compared last of the Kiehls on one side and ALBA on the other: no scent while shaving, both left a very clean shave, no razor burn and no scent or 'tingly sense' afterwards on my face, then hour later no difference in moisturized skin on either sides. I liked that it has a smooth feel. I had hoped that it would lather up some, but it did not. It has a pleasant, mild fragrance.

Ok product but it seems to clog the blades. The residue washes off but it can get annoying. I also think it dulls the blades more quickly.

This is very soft but if you want something that lathers up this is not your product. No lathers are produced but it still has a great feel to it!

This stuff has a consistency similar to toothpaste. Shaving with this product is not at all pleasant. Never again.

A very, very good shaving cream that provides a smooth, comfortable shave. The cream is slightly oily without being greasy, easy to rinse off, and allows the razor to glide over the skin very gently. This is one of the best shaving creams I have used. A little goes a long way and the scent is pleasantly neutral with a coconut and lime tang that is refreshing. I think this would be suitable for those with sensitive skin and any thickness of beard growth. I would also fully recommend this product for women too as the scent is gender neutral and it works as well on the body as the face. Recommended. I hope this was helpful.

I was very sceptical about this product. It doesn’t foam up so be aware of that. It doesn’t look much when on but gives a good shave and with a new razor I had no cuts after on my legs, which I usually do after using foam. Plus a smooth shave. Not bad at all …very surprised, thought it was going to be useless.
