Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO Add-on Camera (Not Compatible with DXR-8), White

I love that there’s no WiFi linked to this as I’m usually worried about people being able to hack into this and seeing my kids. This is the 2nd one I’ve purchased because I really love this brand. Picture quality is great and durability is incredible, like I said this is my 2nd one! Sound quality is great and the battery lasts a really long time. Lasts me through the full day and then I just plug it in at light. Since this was my second camera, I just bought the individual camera and connected it to the monitor I already have for my 1st kid. It was super easy to connect it, the instructions were very clear. Gives you an easy step by step - don’t feel like it will be hard because it won’t be!! The monitor lets me have the 2 kids image scan back and forth so I can see both or I can pause it on one kid at a time.

We love this camera!!! No WiFi! It works so well to connect all the kids rooms to one monitor & the range is great!

Love this monitor set up. Got another camera to add. Good quality and can hear and see everything well. Pricey but worth it because my monitor and camera set still works great 3 years later. It can withstand being dropped and still works great and hasn't fallen apart

If you're considering the Infant Optics monitor and have more than one young child or more than one room you need to keep an eye on, I recommend this add-on camera. My kiddos are 3 years old and 3 months old. Between the sharp picture quality, clear sound, zoom feature, and easy toggling between two cameras on one monitor, this camera/monitor setup offers everything we're looking for to keep an eye on our kids overnight and during nap times. This is closed circuit monitor and does NOT connect to your smart phone, which is exactly what we were looking for and isn't all that common in the baby monitor market. Setup takes less than a minute; just be sure to double-check that you're purchasing the right camera for the right monitor because you can only connect a PRO camera to a PRO monitor. The battery life for the monitor (sold separately from add-on camera) is decent, roughly 8-10 hours out-of-the-box if the monitor is in sleep mode.

Love this baby monitor. Purchased the original 4 years ago and it’s still going strong. Bought an extra camera for our second daughter and so happy we did that instead of investing in a newer system. This one is so easy to use and I love that it auto toggles between the two cameras now. My husband had it set up in less than 5 min. The battery life is great and the view angle is nice. We can zoom in on her well too. I also don’t notice a delay from when she cries and when we hear it on the camera. Puts my mom nerves at ease.

We love this monitor! I am on my second one and it works great! Love that you can have 2 or more cameras connected to one monitor and it’s a great picture quality. And most of all it doesn’t use wifi!! The battery of monitor seems to last fairly long- I charge all night while using it and then use for naps and turn off when not in use. Great value for money and my favorite of monitors I’ve used!

We bought this additional camera to add on to our Infant Optics monitor since baby naps in his crib in his own room during the day and sleeps in our room in his bedside bassinet at night. Now that he is going to bed earlier than us we wanted a second monitor to keep an eye on him (and we will use it when we have another child in the future hopefully). Some reviews said the add on camera is worse quality than the original, I disagree. I think the quality is the same which is very good. In my video camera 1 is the original and camera 2 is the add on we bought here from Amazon. It was easy to “scan” on the monitor for the camera and add it without any hassle. As you can see on my video it is easy to toggle between the cameras in the monitor. The noise reduction works well and the sound quality is good. I have no complaints about this camera or the original camera/monitor combo and am very happy with my purchase.

I already have one of these cameras, and just purchased this one to monitor child #2. Very easy to hook up and scan between the two cameras on one monitor clarity and features are great.

LOVE this camera I’ve tried others but this one tops it. The only downfall is the price!

My toddler woke and reported a loud noise in the night. We later discovered the unit had a component blow up around and my camera starting MELTING! Very thankful the unit wasn't near anything flammable! Could have been a nightmare scenario... Spoke to customer support through 10 emails back and forth only to have them tell me the best they're willing to do is give me 50% off a new unit through the US amazon storefront only (which does nothing for me being in Canada). The fact that they spent so much time verifying my purchase just to offer me something I can't even redeem was wild to me. Just a terrible customer experience that deserves sharing.
