We got these mallets for our 2.5-year-old. He's very interested in drumming and drums quite vigorously, as toddlers do. He had some long, sturdy rhythm sticks, but they were quite dangerous. He would bang his toys and the furniture with a lot of force and accidentally hit himself or others. So, we bought these small mallets and they're perfect. Tough enough to make great drumming sounds on many surfaces, but short enough so that he wasn't a danger to himself or others. They're a bit longer than the length of a Sandra Boynton board book (see picture for reference).

False advertising - these are not rubber mallets, the balls are wood.

We ordered these for our 3 year old grand-daughter. We are both musicians and were very pleased with the quality of these mallets. They were far better than expected for the price! No, they are not suitable for a "real band" to use but for a child they are great. She has banged on the Xylophone over and over and they hold up to use very well.

They call it rubber, but it might as well be wood. Absolutely garbage, DO NOT BUY!!! Also very small and light. Just can't say enough bad things about this. Terrible. Threw them away.

I know they are a good product.

I really like these wood handle mallets! They work well for the hand size and strength of my 3 and 5 year olds. They have more control and motivation with these.

This is a good mix of product for a drummer. The sticks are basic and not worth anything, Its worth the price even without the actual drumsticks.
