Are the earrings made of sterling silver

They appear to be. They didn't turn my ears green like fake ones do. if not silver they are surgical steel.

Can I use this device for my diamond stud earrings to pierce or it doesn’t work that way?

It's preloaded with studs. They are part of the mechanism. Once you pierce, as soon as your ears start to heal around them you could change them out for your diamond studs.
