LOVE IT
I'm obsessed with this travel mug. I usually can't be bothered to leave reviews, but I love this product so much that I'm making an exception. The following paragraph will probably go into much more detail than you will ever need because I can't stop gushing about it.As a college student, I carry around copious amounts of caffeine to different study locations so this product has been very, very thoroughly tested. There is no leaking (though I do try to keep it upright) and my drinks stay hot for a REALLY long time. If I pour in a boiling hot drink, it's still warm hours and hours later even if I leave the spout open. It's definitely sturdy, but still pretty light. I'd say it's probably about the normal weight of any other travel mug despite its plentiful features. There's even non-slip padding on the bottom so that it doesn't slide off of slanted desks (another added benefit is that it doesn't clink loudly when you set it down -- perfect for lectures). The plastic cap stops turning when you've closed it all the way, so there's no more struggling to open the mug because you've closed it too tightly out of paranoia of spilling coffee everywhere. The spout locks into place with a very satisfying click and doesn't rattle or flop around at all. It's also super easy to clean since there aren't any hard to reach spots. The rubber grip feels like it's of very good quality, though I do notice that its edges are kind of feathery like it wasn't cut cleanly. However, it's barely noticeable -- I only saw it because I spent so long staring at this mug and admiring it. The walls of the mug itself are pretty thick, considering the vacuum insulation plus the ceramic coating on the inside, so I was mildly concerned about the amount of liquid that it would be able to hold. However, it wasn't a problem at all. Sometimes I don't even finish my drink when I fill it up all the way (though that probably says more about my terrible hydration habits than anything else). I've noticed that the ceramic coating inside is a lot easier to clean tea residue off of than the stainless steel of my previous travel mug. The inside of the mug is pretty narrow though, so my small hands can slip inside to clean it but others will probably have to use a brush.I can't say enough good things about the aesthetic design itself. The matte black is so satisfying and gorgeous (and feels silky to the touch!). And if I occasionally stop studying to admire how well the mug matches my MacBook, well... that's just a bonus. :) The finish does seem like it could possibly scratch, but I've been using it for about a month and I haven't noticed any damage. Conclusion: I'm never buying a different travel mug ever again.

Travelling with coffee just got tastier!
Drinking coffee on the go used to mean tasting the metallic tint of a travel mug; not to mention the searing heat of said metal "mug" touching your lips and scalding you in your attempt to catch a gulp at a stop light! This ceramic coated beauty resolves those nasty issues as well as keeping the coffee appropriately hot for several hours! The exterior has a rubberized diamond pattern band, around an easy-to-grip metal housing in a matte-finish. The flip-top spout(?) drinking access area is plastic. The magic is in the interior-- ceramic, just like your favorite mug that you use at home (At least I use ceramic mugs at home; to each his own!) The ceramic is easy to clean and has not tainted the coffee with any "prior coffee residue" ---otherwise known as "etched-in coffee stank" like my metal travel mugs always adopt, no matter how hard I clean the darn things! I am tempted to use this at home, as I can go for quite awhile doing projects and forget there is coffee cooling its heels in my favorite Batman mug (a birthday present from my kids!) This bad boy really holds its heat for a good three hours; still respectably toasty after four, and still drinkable after five. One caution, though--- The little flip top will gather condensation/coffee on its inside lip, and it will get deposited on your nose when you go to take a swig; nothing harmful, but it does still surprise me even after using it so often. All in all, 20 ounces of coffee on the go never tasted so good!

Keeps Hot Stuff Hot but Makes My Nose Drip
Got this cup on the recommendation of a co-worker who was tired of tossing cold coffee after a couple hours. He claimed it would keep coffee hot until lunch if need be, and ice water icy all night on his nightstand. I can't attest to his cold all night claim, but I can pour a cup of coffee at breakfast and sip on hot coffee at lunch - as long as you keep the flip-cap closed that is. And you don't have to snap the flip-cap down tight, just push it down so that it blocks the sip hole. When you snap the flip-cap down tight the cup is definitely leak proof but there is no other vent holes in the lid and in the case of hot drinks, pressure builds up in the cup. Not enough pressure to be dangerous but just enough to be annoying when you flip the cap open.I love the rubbery coating on the outside of the cup and the ceramic lining inside. The ceramic lining makes it very easy to keep clean - especially when used primarily for coffee or tea - which can stain. The only complaint I have is that when you open the flip-cap to take a sip, the rubber sip hole seal has condensation on it from the hot coffee and as I tip it back it hits the end of my nose, transferring the moisture. Maybe it's just my big nose, I don't know. After trying a half-dozen or so insulated cups trying to find one that keeps my coffee hot for longer than an hour or two, I'm very happy with my Bubba mug.
