I got these for a magnet station lab to use with my middle schoolers, and they loved it. Even better, it stood up to 6 classes of middle schoolers playing with them! I used other magnet kits in the past, and other versions have been much flimsier, with magnets that broke when they were dropped. This set was none the worse for wear at the end of the day, and the students requested to use them again - all without a single chip or break. We didn’t use the full set with all 10 magnets and the cards in the classroom (we used 4 magnets on the pole to practice testing polarity), but when I was getting a set out to test it in advance at home, my 4 year old was super intrigued with the whole set, and played with it for a good 40 minutes using the cards. So, this set stood up to both 4 and 13 year olds, and both age groups enjoyed it. Major success. This set is slightly more expensive than some other magnet kits, but it is sturdy and stands up to way more rough usage. It is a better value in the long run.

Awesome for my classroom, kids love magnets!

I bought these for my grandchildren after they showed interest in them at the St Louis Magic House. They were fascinated with them. The cards showed various ways to demonstrate “floating” magnets. This simplistic “toy” has resulted in hours of entertainment.

I admit found these magnets mostly for a "craft" project ... I needed round magnets to make "fishing rods" for a fishing game at our preschool fair. I thought they were cute and a good price since I only needed the 10. I also wanted them "kid friendly" and like that they're colorful but not painted in case youngers put them in their mouths. For that, they have been PERFECT. Bonus, since we had the first set in the house for a while before I made the rods, now I'm buying a set to keep. Not their favorite toy but they do come out periodically and, when they do, I always get a "Hey, look what I did!" So, I've realized, we all like having "play" magnets in the house. Kids can play the game(s) as designed or use them for other projects and experiments. These are pretty, colorful, fun, educational. The cards and storage add a major bonus versus some of the basic magnet sets and I personally like rings ... you can tie onto things, stack easily on rod or pencil, etc. Good product, great price. BTW, can't tell yet about durability but will update if they crash and burn at some point. I do imagine they could break (esp hard plastic colored covers) but we've had several 3-4 foot falls onto hard tile floor already with no ill effects.

Three of my kids (ages 7, 5, and 2.5) all love this toy. The cards are easy to match for the older two, and while the youngest still needs some help with it, they all love it when it's their turn to use it. The magnets are strong and can be used in fun ways off of the stick as well. It comes with a ziplock bag for storage, but I have it in a plastic pencil box instead. As a mom, I think this toy is great because it is: 1) educational 2) open ended 3) affordable, and 4) easy to store: I didn't realize that the stick could be removed for storage, but it was a pleasant surprise. I will be buying this as gifts for nieces and nephews and kids' friends from here on out!

all my grandkids love this new 'toy' =) The different ages (18 mo to 8 yrs) find different ways to learn and play.

Bought as a secret Santa gift for someone who likes games. Have not heard how they like the game.

My kids (7 and 4) love this game! It's super fun and the magnets work really well. It's an excellent educational resource.

I like these magnetic rings for the kids (5 & 3) to start learning some science concepts. They caught on really quickly and the cards certainly help in explaining why the magnets attract or repel, and my kids can easily copy the patterns on the cards. They arrived really quickly and were as described except I thought they'd be a bit bigger, but that isn't a problem.

This was a hit with a wide range of ages -- 3-14, all enjoyed it and found a lot of ways to play with it beyond the puzzles. Magnets are coated in plastic and feel quite sturdy. Great product.
