I just tried this new rebrand (from Pretty Frank back to Pit Paste) and I'm happy to say it works well for me. I've been applying it twice a day but it has also lasted me 24 hours without smelling (if I'm not active). It's a little crumbly in cold weather but I just warm it longer between my fingers. However, way back in 2017, I was OBSESSED with pit paste. I think that was the original formula and it was VERY effective (even just the regular strength). The "jacked up jasmine" smelled incredible and I loved it. When it rebranded to Pretty Frank, the efficacy was not the same and I got stinky quickly. I so wish they'd go back to the original pit paste. However, as a cosmetics enthusiast, I've recently learned that even a single ingredient *source* changing can change up an entire product, even if the formula is identical, so maybe they had no choice if their suppliers changed. Who knows? I'm just guessing. For now I'll repurchase this extra strength unscented, which is effective for me and keeps me stink free. Maybe they'll at least offer the jasmine in the future. 🙏

I apply it twice a day (after morning and evening showers) and it keeps me feeling fresh all day long. For those switching to natural deodorants, just know that your armpits may go through a short detox period. It’s totally normal to experience a bit of odor at first as your body adjusts — but stick with it! Once the transition passes, this stuff really delivers. Good quality deodorant..doesn’t cause any skin reactions or irritation. The Patchouli scent however is a bit “light”; in fact, it’s barely there….some customers might like that characteristic; others like me would like a little bit of that great “patchouli hit”, delivering that mark of distinction only patchouli oil can achieve. I won’t be buying this one again, however if you are a less adventurous; this could be the one for you.

I was using primal pit paste for five years and all through out the gym. It has no problems and I didn’t stink at all. Now this new rebrand, it’s COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. I wish I trusted the other reviews. It works for two hours then you stink. It was so embarrassing to be out in public when your deodorant fails on you. Do not buy!! Edit: I retested this deo for four more days to give it a chance. I noticed that with the new formula, I will start to smell within two hours. I was just working on my laptop for the two hours, so no strenous activity. The original primal pit paste lasted me through 12 hour shifts during surgery without me needing to reapply. I tried other brands like Lavinalla, Meow meow tweet, and little seed farms, so far none of them work. The search for a natural deo continues.

I've been using this brand for over a decade now, but the last two times I've ordered it through Amazon it's come seemingly melted and seperated out into weird chunks. I'm not sure how to reconstitute it into a normal concistency. Otherwise, I've used it this long for a reason. It does irritate my skin if I don't use skin oils like jojoba oil. With oils, I have no issues. I like to combine the primal pit patchouli with the pretty frank orange scent for a really nice scent mix and for extra protection (they have different active ingredient mixes). The combo provides a lot better protection than just one or the other.

This stuff works great for me. Easy to apply and last along time. Glad I found this stuff since it’s toxic free.

I love primal pit paste! I'm sad they discontinued the Royal and Rogue scent but this Patchouli is amazing! Is smells perfectly woody, spicy and sweet.I constantly find myself smelling my pits because I like it so much haha These deodorants are amazing at sweat and smell control. Truthfully if you are out camping or know you won't be able to shower for a couple days, this stuff lasts.
