At first when I opened the box, I didn't think these were real crystals because they are so uniform and perfect. They almost looked like plastic. BUT...the way to test any crystal is to try to burn it with a lighter. If it burns, it's fake. These didn't burn and the black smudge the flame left, wiped right off. So, wow! I'm really impressed. Its nicer in person than I expected - not flimsy and knots are straight. The loop is too small to fit around my rear view mirror so I used a zip tie to attach.
