Genuinely good battery life
These earbuds check all the boxes for what I was looking for in earbuds. As of this review I have owned and used them for about 11 months now. The main reason I bought these is because I was looking for a pair of earbuds with ACTUAL decent batteries in them. If you're looking for good battery life in a small form factor, these are the ones without a doubt. Most earbuds I've either had or looked at don't stand up to whatever their product description claims, these do though. I can listen to music for hours on end (I think the longest I've used them for is about 8ish hours for reference). Then on top of the earbud batteries themselves being good, the charging case battery is also really good. I can go weeks without charging the case (I don't use them heavily daily). The attached USB cable is a little awkward, but I really like it in the long run. It's definitely better than having to use a separate cord to charge. Plus the wireless charging is nice, I can just drop them on a wireless charger to pick up some juice from time to time. With such a decent battery life I have high hopes for the longevity of these earbuds. If they handle hours and hours of playtime now, when the battery life inevitably degrades, they should still be usable for a longer time. I'm a fan of the loop around the ear for earbuds (might not be your thing). They definitely stay in my ears for everything I do (sitting at my desk, doing yard work, house chores, laying in bed). For me they're absolutely comfortable. I'd say I have a pretty normal ear, so there's not any uncomfortable pinching or rubbing with the ear loops for me. I do have some sensory sensitivity but I'm able to stop consciously being aware of these in my ear whenever I use them, which is nice. I don't do anything incredibly active though, so I can't speak to their ability to stay in during lots of vigorous movement. I had never heard of JLab before these, but I'm happy to see that these seem to be thoughtfully designed with actual function in mind. No complaints with the sounds quality. They're pretty balanced. Bass definitely doesn't drown out the mids or highs. No "tinny" sound to them. I've used some cheap earbuds before and these definitely do not have a cheap sound to them. I don't know that I'd produce music with them, but they definitely have a very clean satisfying sound. On to the other parts of the earbuds that weren't really selling points for me, but that I like nonetheless. The touch controls are decent, take a little getting used to, but definitely decent. I didn't expect much from the noise cancelling but it works pretty well. I use them when I mow, with noise cancelling enabled, and it really helps cut the noise out (and I can still hear my music well!). I didn't think I'd like the pause on removal from ear feature but have found it is pretty useful, especially at work when someone comes in to talk to me. The "be aware" audio passthrough works pretty well too but I rarely use it. I don't use them for calls often but I haven't gotten any complaints about the mic when I have. Overall a great buy, very satisfied with these.

Money well spent
FINALLY! I found the wireless earbuds that sound good, have good battery life and don't go bad after a few weeks. I bought these back in July of 2021 after getting sick of buying the $20-$50 range earbuds for years. All the cheaper ones that I was buying in the past to save money on earbuds ended up dying after either a few days or a few weeks. I'm so glad i finally decided to spend a little extra to get these, I haven't had any issues with them in nearly 6 months since I bought them. The bass sounds rich and deep, the high sounds crisp and clear, the battery life is phenomenal. I rarely need to charge the case they rest in, it holds a charge for a long time. I usually run for 8-10 miles every day and workout for 2 hours 7 days a week, never had a problem with these earbuds. Absolutely love them and highly recommend them. Update on 5/29/2022, nearly 1 year after purchasing them, absolutely 0 problems with them to this day, I spend 2-3 hours at the gym daily, 7 days a week and can go for weeks without ever plugging these into any USB to charge the case, have never had them die on me either or even get to low battery after weeks without charging the case itself, these are by far the best investment i ever made into headphones, money well spent, these are really high quality and well built Update on 7/17/2024, still going strong to this day and performing just as good as they did on day one. Battery still lasts a long time, I only charge the case about 1 time every 3-4 weeks. The sound is still excellent and just as good as it's been since the I got them. I even dropped the case about a dozen times by now on the floor and nothing has happened to it. Absolute best earbuds I've ever own ed in my life. Really surprised how well they're holding up after years of using them 1-3 hours every single day. Update on 7/19/2025, no changes, they work just as good as they did 4 years ago, i still charge them once every 3-4 weeks and i used them daily, quality sounds phenomenal, quite possibly the best purchase i ever made with these headphones Update 8/18/2025, the rubber piece that loops around behind the ear finally snapped. It had a small crack on the rubber in the last few month and recently finally snapped. I was able to put a little band-aid around the crack to keep the rubber hook over my ear for the earbuds to stay on until i received my new pair, they still work fine otherwise after all these years. So I tried order another pair of the the Sport+ because they were cheaper and supposedly some new *updated* version of the hardware but the audio kept cutting out when i turned my head sideways while running, it drove me insane and I had to return them. So i just ended up reordering another pair of these and they work flawlessly. One thing I would suggest to everyone is to not stretch the ear hook rubber too much when putting them on over your ears. Try to not flex the rubber piece too much as it goes over your ear and these will last you forever.

Good pair of high-quality open ear earbuds
A bit expensive but definitely worth it especially commit to the others. The noise cancellation is not that good especially when you’re in like a loud gym but it’s there and you can tell that it’s there. You do have to set them as the twos if you want them to work with the app and customize the controls, but it works fine if you do that the touch controls are a little bit finicky, but you get the hang of it. I really like the feature that lets it pause when you take it out of your ear though recently sometimes it has not worked so I don’t know what that’s about to me. It has a really good sound, though. I’m not much of an expert on that kind of thing, so don’t take my word for it for a good high-quality pair of main wireless earbuds. This is my go to and the hooks make it so that it doesn’t fall out like regular ones would.

Good headphones/earbuds for sports use - Aug 2023 Update
I was looking for a set of headphones to replace another set I did not like and didn't last long. I exercise 1.5 hrs./day 6 days a week. Therefore I needed something to stay in the ear, and could handle moisture (98 deg F at 90+ humidity - i.e. sweating profusely in the summer). I also needed something that that had "hear through" so I can hear sounds while doing road-work, such as automobiles. I selected these because they had an over-the-ear hook to keep them in place. They had some waterproofing, hear-through, and other control options. While I like having the noise cancelling, I don't use it as much since I let in ambient noise while working out. I've had these for over 6 mos. and I've put over 290 hours of use into them. They have had good battery life. They have held up to daily use without issue. I have been VERY pleased with them for what I need. I found them comfortable, and when I'm sweating, the ear hooks keep them in my ear. Of course, when I'm doing other exercises where I change position, the ear plugs can slip out due to moisture, they stay "in the ear" and don't fall off. The volume can be set quite loud, and I never need to put them to full volume. Things I have noticed. Sometimes one bud disconnects from the phone, but I've discovered this happens when I'm near another device openly broadcasting a Bluetooth connection. It only lasts about 10 sec or less, or I can remove the bud and reinsert and it is good to go. The bud pair sense their proximity and stop playing when they are a certain distance apart. This is actually a good quality as I use it when someone talks to me, I can remove one, and hear them without music blaring. I take care to wipe them down before putting them in the case to avoid buildup that may impair the charging capability. You have to make sure you set them in the charging case well, or it may not charge. However, I've only had this issue once or twice once I realized this and made sure they had good contact. The buds have white/blue light when charging. Overall, I'm really pleased with the JLab Epic Air Sport ANC headphones. I would order these again. Update - Aug 2023 My original review was from Oct 2022. I currently have been using these for over 16 months, 6+ days a week usually at least 2-3 hours a day. They still perform well. Battery life is still good, and I have experienced no issues. Rain, below freezing, 90+ degree temps, high humidity...they still work. Note, all reviews are subjective. I use these specially and primarily for music audio while working in a wide range of temperatures. I do not recommend these for phone audio or conference calls. Every time I have used these for phone calls, the person on the receiving end has difficulting hearing me (soft voice), and additionally too much background noise. I just don't use them for phone calls, and I have another brand of earbuds I use during the day when I need to make phone calls.

Good alternative to Powerbeats Pro if you don't mind rapidly declining battery life
All of our reviews start at three stars assuming the product does what is says it will do for the price paid. Stars are then deducted or added based on actual experience. I first purchased these in Dec of 2021 and initially they were a surprisingly good sounding alternative to the expensive Powerbeats Pro set I had been using (which I dropped and they don't get loud enough for calls in my vehicle now). Unfortunately, very soon after purchasing, the battery in the left bud would drain at a much faster rate than the right, to the point it wouldn't last half the day even with no calls being made. To their credit, Jlab was very easy to work with to get a replacement set sent even during the pandemic and that gets a star for their customer service and support of their product (something that is becoming more rare these days). As far as performance under daily use, the sound is very good both in my ear and with my clients when I am on a call. The noise reduction is noticeable and I even like the 'Be Aware' feature that lets outside sound through the noise reduction mics to the earbuds. The comfort is adequate (I still can't wait to take them off when I am done for the day though, but that seems to be the case with the Beats also). The app is buggy at best and there doesn't seem to be any urgency in updates. Currently, it simply crashes when trying to check for an update and the other functions are rarely used. I am not a fan of the touch only controls, particularly when I want to end a call. Most times I have to do the 'double tap' multiple times just for that simple function and forget the 3 tap functions entirely. The real downside though is the battery life. Forget the ludicrous numbers in the description. Never, and I mean never have I gotten 15+ hours of Bluetooth playback. Nor do I get that in talk time but I can forgive that some as it must be more draining. Even worse, while the battery life used to get me through the day, now less than a year later, it barely lasts til the late afternoon before I get the warning that it is down to 10%. I have even taken to using my Beats in the morning for calls in an effort to get the Jlab set to last longer. I fully expect these to become useless in the coming months if the current trajectory is any indicator. The common theme is that battery was an issue in the first set and is an issue in this set. So the lesson here is that for $80 you can't get a product like this that will really compete with something that has a normal retail of $280. You would think I would have learned that by now but here we are. The least I can do is this review so others can make a better more informed decision. I added a star for the responsive customer service but deduct a star each for the poor battery life, under performing app, and the difficult to use touch controls. In the end a well deserved one star.

I've had these for years and still going
These are the ones if you need value, great ANC, and AirPods fall out of your ears. Very comfortable, great battery life, sounds decent. No connection problems. Wish the case was a bit smaller but I'm not complaining. I feel like I never have to charge these which is amazing

Not great if you sweat a lot
Have used this brand for the last two years (NOT THE SAME PAIR THE ENTIRE TIME—more to come on this within this review) for an average of two hours per day while working out. There are lots of pros and cons to consider with these. Up front, I can only “conditionally” recommend these. If you are someone who doesn’t sweat very much, I think you’ll enjoy these and they’ll last. However, if you sweat as much as I do (by the end of an hour and a half of basketball, people hate guarding me because I’m SOAKED), I can’t recommend these at all. As I mentioned above, I’ve used the JLab Epic Air Sport ANC (both the Gen 1 and Gen 2) for the past couple of years. I average about 6 months, and then the right ear bud stops working. I think I’ve narrowed the problem down to their “IP66 SWEAT PROOF” rating. “Sweat proof” is an overstatement. After 4-6 months of dripping sweat for 1-2 hours a day, these will let moisture in, and it will ruin them. The good news is, JLab does a really good job with their warrantee. Each time they break, I email their customer service department; they ask me for a photo of the charging case with the cord cut, and both earbuds submerged in a bowl of water (as evidence that they are truly destroyed) and they replace them within a few days. It’s not ideal (I’d rather the earbuds just last), but it’s doable. Pros -Fit/comfort: The reason I stick with these is because they fit my ears so well, and they come with a set of “cloud foam” eartips that I LOVE. Any earbud that is designed to just sit in my ear (such as an air pod), without any kind of over-ear hook, simply don’t work for me. These fit great and are comfortable to wear for hours at a time. -They have pretty good noise cancellation; I also like the different movie and music modes, and the sound adjustability -Great battery life. I’ve never run out of juice, and I’ve worn these (with audio playing) for 5-6 hours at a time. -I like the charging case to keep them topped-off after use. It also prevents me from having to pack an additional charging cable while traveling for a few days -Great Customer Service Cons -The big one is longevity. These aren’t sweat proof. They are sweat resistant, but after prolonged (4-6 months) heavy sweating, they break. -With no buttons, the user interface consists of a series of long or multi-touch presses against the touch-sensitive side of each ear piece (there are combinations of left, right, and both ear-piece touches you have to learn). It works, but it’s a little complicated and takes some time to get used to. -Quite expensive for something that doesn’t hold up to heavy sweat (especially for a product that’s advertised as “sport” (workout) earphones) Given the price point, I can’t rate these very highly (when I spend $100 on some ear buds I expect them to last). However, the customer service is aligned with a company that sells premium products.

The Gen 2 lives in my ears Gen 3 is disappointing
I have bought at least some variation of these ear buds nine times. Gen 1 was good and Gen 3 has been kinda bad but the Gen 2 has been perfect for my needs. I use these one bud at a time as Bluetooth headset for 10-12 hours at a time. I use it for audio books and phone calls but they’ve got the sound for getting down. Why nine pairs? I’m a truck driver and I’m constantly moving around place to place in and out of warehouses or under the truck for inspections. If I’m not actively using it and I need both ears I hook it to my shirt or vest so I’ve lost quite a few buds but not both. Gen 2 introduced the solution with Tile integration. I did still loose a couple buds but it’s been crazy to relocate a lost bud almost a month later. Old ANC GEN 1 review: I have two pairs of these headphones. I’m a power user, I literally have at least one earbud in at all times. I even fall asleep with one in by accident sometimes. Call quality is excellent and the call noise canceling is great. I drive a semi truck and it gets to be around 80+ dB in the cab, but these make me sound clear apparently. One touch answering is awesome too. I don’t use the exterior noise canceling or pass though but they do work pretty good, not AirPods Pro good but $85 good. I prefer to maximize battery life instead. The first pair is mostly responsible for my positive part of the review since the 15 hour battery life was 100% accurate and having these in was my first real liberation from wired headphones. Can’t beat wired for crystal clear audio though, that audiophile experience, but these are pretty good. Battery life has dropped from 15 to 11 hours in 6 months but like I said, they’re in at least one ear 18 hours a day. That’s playing a YouTube video, music, or an audio book 15 (now 11) hours straight at around 50-75% volume. The second pair has been a callback to Bluetooth 2.0/3.0 days from the get go. Dropped connections, worse battery life (10 hours maybe), and that pause sensor for when you take an earbud off has been activating randomly when my head doesn’t even move. There seems to have been a change at the manufacturing level since the case is different, but the exterior of the earbuds aren’t discernible to my eyes. Luckily the cases are interchangeable so I can keep my old pair going even if the old case gives up the ghost. If I’d been wiser I would’ve bought another pair immediately after my initial pair instead of six months later. Perhaps my inevitable pair number 3 will be better?

Me sorprendieron

Great hook ear buds that don't fall out
The JLab Epic Air Sport ANC Ear Buds were bought for the gym. My ears don't support ear buds without hooks as they fall out - just the shape of my ears. These have been fantastic and have never fallen out running, benching, squatting.. anything. The battery is good and an inexpensive case was purchased to carry the ear buds so they were not constantly on charge; the case also doubles to hold the charging case and buds when I travel. I have set the graphic equalizer and I am happy with the sound now (see image with my settings). No problems pairing with my iPhone and Android phones but recommend having the app on just one phone if you are running multiple devices. The full reset as per the manual worked when I had an issue (appeared unresponsive) that I have not had since I use the app on the one device. Although not purchased for calls, calls on the phone have been good with people hearing me clearly. Noise cancelling does work but I have other types of headphones to cater for this need that I would not use at the gym. I give 5 stars to the JLab Epic Air Sport ANC Ear Buds as they are excellent hook ear buds that excel in the function they were purchased for.

Running e JLab Audio Epic Air Sport ANC
