Avocados California Hass - Certified Organic Six Pounds

Awesome Avocados! These came fast! From West Coast all the way over to the East Coast in 2 days! I have used other organic farms from West Coast, and it takes a week. I will definitely order again. I don't know if this was intentional or not, but I loved the fact that the box of avocados had all stages included. There was 1 or 2 ready to eat now, a few that just need a few more days, and the rest need a week or so. When I have received avocados elsewhere, none of them were ready, and then they all ripened at the same time. If you are on the fence, get off and order now. These are awesome, organic, and good for you too!

We love avocados and especially the ones from California but our local stores stock them from Mexico and even Whole Foods only very rarely has avocados from California. We hoped to find a place to get organic California avocados on a regular basis, we were surprised that they arrived very quickly. These were a huge disappointment, only three were ever edible and we had to wait two weeks for those. We know about putting them in bag to ripen quicker, it did not work with these rocks. They were dumped in the box so some were bruised and spoiled instead of ripening. Many had lots of black inside at the stem end, could not eat most of them. We wish we had received the ones the other reviewers got. I do not like writing a bad review for anyone but these were just awful.

Previous was great, but these were those half rotten/half too hard to eat, though a lot cheaper, and I ate most of them.

1st order arrived rotten, hollow, unusable! The seller made it right and replaced them. The replacement order all ripened within 2 days but were very good.

Sent these as a gift and the recipient said they were really good. Not soft upon arrival, and tasty. Happy that these were good quality avocados.

I started eating avocados every day many years ago when I lived in Santa Barbara and had a friend with an avocado grove in adjoining Montecito. The central and southern California coastal foothills grow the best avocados anywhere and some ranches still seem to have the original strains of Hass trees so I was searching for a source for them. These seemed like the all too rare original Hass variety, but all except one turned from hard and unripe to rotten with no in-between stage of ripeness and edibility. Whole Foods, Fresh Market, and even the local supermarkets have much better avocados at a far lower price than the $41.50 it ended up costing me for one good avocado.

I have sent these to my son who has crohn's and to someone as a gift. Both folks stated the avocados were perfectly ripened and delicious.

My sister resides in a small cajun town in Louisiana. I've sent her these in the past as she loves avocados. Spoke to her yesterday and she told me she had just eaten the last of the gift. Every avocado was in good shape and the only spot she had to remove was at the stem. Thanks for sending a great box to her -- it helped her to celebrate her b'day for about 10 days.
