RECOIL REM65 Echo Series 6.5-Inch Car Audio Component Speaker System

My car is 19 years old with 200k miles and although I still enjoy driving it, it wouldn't make sense to install expensive speakers. The factory paper & foam speakers were rotted out. These Recoil speakers are an excellent value. The sound quality is more than good enough and they should last a long time because they are made with better materials than the factory ones. Very happy with these for the price.

These Recoil 6.5 component speaker are an amazing upgrade from any stock component speakers. Tuned and powered correctly is how they really shine. I installed the Recoil crossover for these component with the lowest DB setting on the tweeter do to it being installed in my windshield pillar. The HPF I set to 120 hz on my Recoil DI 550.4 amp and gain was set to 50% on amp also. The provided crossover crosses to the tweeter at 3000hz which is good but I wish they crossed it around 3500hz because the Fs of the tweeter is 1600hz. I'm feeding these components only 60 watts RMS and they get loud, stay clean, and image very well. The tweeter is actually very articulate without any shrilling due to my dropping the DB in their crossover so that this silk dome tweeter cone stays in control. The mids are really good and mid woofers stays in control at high volumes do to the 120hz crossover I set...I'm running a Stinger MT1000.1 mono amp at 50% gain on their Stinger 12 inch 1 ohm 700 watt RMS/ 1200 watt max subwoofer that is tuned to 35hz ported in there excellently built ported box. The subsonic filter is set to 30hz and the crossover is set to 70hz...After blending the subwoofer in with the components I can actually say this system IS a great sound quality system. For less than $600.00 for everything listed above this is the best price to performance audio system I've have ever had... This system shames the MB Quart Onxy series component/coaxial setup with (2) 10 inch Power Bass subwoofer setup I had years ago for half the price!

For being a low cost speaker they are very nice. Sound great have a good look.Very happy.

For an inexpensive speakers they actually feel quality made, comes with mounting screws and I was able to fit it in my car easily. They sound good for the price. The Only thing I was concerned about was The boot of the magnet , it seems to be crooked and cut or ripping it self. I don’t know how long these will last but it’s good bang for the buck

These look like fine speakers, but be warned - they are 2-1/2” deep and did not fit in my Toyota Tundra 2005 regular bed door assembly… you need 2 inches max

For the price, these sound great. They aren't "audiophile" grade, but they are 100% an improvement for older vehicles. I have them, along with the 6.5 coaxial set, in my 1995 c3500 crew cab, powered off a pioneer head unit. Very impressed.

The range and quality of sound is astounding at this price! This set and the other Recoil 6.5's have got my little car bumpin'.

Both cross overs are shot. I've been in car audio for 20 years. I know junk when I see it. Speaker itself is good quality built with good materials but the crossovers are complete trash. Neither of the speakers or tweeters work when hooked to the crossovers was like that right out of the box. With my work schedule unfortunately it took me a month to install them so now I cant even return them.

I took a chance on these because they were so cheap. I just finished building a car system using 2 pairs of these and I am impressed. Sound quality is amazingly good. A reasonable low end and good highs from the tweeters. I am using a Pioneer media player and Alpine 50W per channel amp to power these in a convertible. Hard to keep bass in a convertible once the top is down. I haven't had it on the highway yet, but sounds great around town. I also bought the recoil rubber covers for the door speakers to protect them from moisture but did not install the foam backing. Foam and water don't mix in my opinion and ZI didn't want something holding water to create rust over a long term. My other build is far superior, but cost me hundreds more. These Recoils are quite adequate for anyone looking for a good sound at a lower price point. I set tweeters in the crossover to +2dB which is probably zero. I don't know how you would get gain from a passive crossover. I would look at this brand again if I need to replace anything in the future. I'm giving it 5 stars because they were so affordable and a great improvement over the OEM speakers in my Mustang.

Brilliant value for money just the job

Der Präsenzbereich ist etwas aufdringlich, das hängt aber vermutlich mit der Akustik in meinem Auto zusammen.Die Kästen der Frequenzweichen sind recht voluminös, das könnte in engen Autotüren knapp werden. Bei den Hochtönern könnte man bemängeln, dass sich das Gitter nicht abnehmen lässt und in meinem Fall jetzt 2 Gitter vor dem Lautsprecher sitzen. Außerdem könnte das Kabel länger sein, das würde eine potenzielle Fehlerquelle vermeiden.
