Courageous Compassion: Confronting Social Injustice God’s Way Paperback – July 29, 2014

Beth Grant presents a powerful case for courageous compassion, defined against the backdrop of the outrageous human trafficking crisis in India. While the stories in the book leverage Dr Grant 's experiences in India, the application of her processes for compassion ministry are universally applicable. I strongly encourage anyone working in compassion programs or looking to develop compassion programs to make reading this book a priority.

'Astounding' is the first word that came to mind when I finished reading Courageous Compassion. It is a unique book in its field. Dr. Grant has masterfully covered very poignant issues For me the anchor of the book rests in its biblical foundation.Some of my favorite chapters were (6) Taking off the Sterile Gloves, (8) The Catalyst of Community, and (12) Supernatural Power. I appreciated Grant's transparency when she discussed the mistakes Project Rescue made along the journey.Courageous Compassion is certain to become a standard work to be read by missionaries going overseas, regardless of whether or not they minister in this area. It sets a framework for understanding that informs the entire overseas community of missionaries.

This is a must read for anyone called to help those that are sexually exploited. With decades of experience to draw from, there is so much wisdom and insight shared here, I felt mentored while reading it.

Dr. Grant distills the mission of God into a well written book that springs from her experience ministering to young girls rescued from sexual slavery. The lessons and practical theology applies to various contexts, though. I particularly enjoyed her honesty about some of the mistakes her and her husband have made in ministry.

An excellent mix of practical advice and stories. Perfect for someone beginning to consider their role in Christ-centered social justice ministry.

Excellent Read. Challenging on so many levels. It is a must read more than once. Read it once and ask for the Lord to give you personal application. Read it again and ask the Lord to give you application for your local community. Then read it again and ask the Lord to challenge you to apply this to the work globally and how He wants you to engage for the advancement of His kingdom and the glory of His name.

Yes this is an excellent read. The work of all who are involved with "Project Rescue" is so beyond any adjective I could come up with to describe it. Thank God for the Grants and their selfless hearts to rescue those who have been sold into the sexual slave trade.

This book really shows another side of courage and passion. It teaches you to review yourself and how you are towards others as a child of God.
