Very healthy little sticks
Every single stick I received arrived alive. All of them have rooted and sprouted. The image I attached is after about 1 week in water. I planted these into dirt filled totes when they all looked similar to this one (some did take almost three weeks in water, but all of them did root and sprout) and they are doing well in the heavily watered dirt filled totes that don't drain. See second photo. This is about a month from receiving them. I am impressed. I used regular top soil. Also, I received 80 sticks, when I expected 50. This seller did not skimp on the order. I am not an expert in hybrid willows, but I am familiar with willows in general. These are willows of some variety and they are growing. I have no reason to doubt the listing as to the strain of willow. I will plant them outside in May and try to remember to update this review in August as to how they did over the summer outside in the ground in Minnesota.

way better than expected
I made an ambitious order of 100 trees expecting that my ineptness would likely be the demise of at least half of them. CZGrains must have heard about me because they also added an additional 50 -75 trees in the shipment. The pictures are how they look after a week in water cups. I was even lazy and didn't put them in water for a couple of days after they arrived. and I would say at least 80% of them have visible leaves and impressive roots already planning to take over the world. I just ordered the soil they recommended in the instructions and hopefully I can find room to plant all these obvious alien mutants with plans of world domination all over my property. I will update with their progress in a couple of months.

A waste of money
Willows are "supposed" to grow from cuttings, like the ones this company sent to me. They sprouted amazing roots after only a few days of being in water. I waited a couple more weeks before transplanting them into soil. All but three have died—such a waste of money.

First year down. Many to go
These cuttings came with roots developing. We soaked them in water before potting them until after any chance of frost. We planted most of them in a subirigated/ wetland area so we never had to water them. Survival of as around 85% which was better then I expected and if those who survived most of them grew 3’ this year. Hoping to continue to see large amounts of growth out of them as we are trying to create a shelter belt but at the end of the first year they are doing great!

Easy to grow!
Nice viable cuttings! Out of 50, I was able to sprout 47 of them. Steps I use to sprout and plant: 1: place all cuttings in a planter with no holes and add about 3” of water. Change out the water every couple of days. You will notice little white tufts come out - this is ok these are root and leave sprouts. Let these sprout leaves and roots for at least two weeks as shown in the pictures. 2: when ready to pot, I clip the very bottom of the cutting and dip in Hormex, make a hole in my soil with the green thingy, then push all the way down. Roots are very fragile, so don’t push them down too hard. Cover with a little more soil and water. 3: I leave my potted cutting in a tray of water to keep them soaking and then let the water evaporate to let the roots adjust to drier soil.

They were all perfect. Lots of roots and buds
Didn't count how many I got. It was a huge bundle. Definitely at least 50. All of them were very wet when I got them and every single one was budding/rooting. I plan on using these for a medium scale project in my front yard as a natural barrier between my yard and the alley next to my house and if it works out this is a fraction of what a short picket fence would cost to build.
