Extends Time Between Salon Visits and Looks Natural
This has become a staple in my beauty routine. It works exactly as advertised, covering gray roots quickly and blending naturally with my hair color. The dark blonde shade matches well and doesnโt leave an obvious line of demarcation. One unexpected bonus is that it gives the illusion of fuller, thicker hair at the roots. Itโs perfect for stretching the time between salon appointments and saving a little money in the process. Easy to apply, natural-looking results, and a real confidence booster between color appointments. Would definitely purchase again!

Covers bald spots, greying hair
Most excellent. I have cancer and where my hair is falling out at the crown it's embarrassing. Love that it covers that area and keeps me from feeling subconscious about my hair loss. Matches my hair color perfectly. L'Oreal rocks!

Great product
It is perfect for covering the gray. Just make sure you get the right color. I would go a little darker if in doubt. It really helps me make it to my next hair appointment.

Very easy to use, but a little sticky, and fades in 1-2 days
It took a pandemic for me to realize how grey my hair really is - wow. My colorist recommended two different products to touch up the, this being one of them. Overall, I think this is a good product when you need a quick touchup. It lasts fairly well until you wash your hair again, but it does fade a little after a day or two. Pros: super easy to use. In about one minute, I was able to spray my 2 inch long silver roots at my part line, flipped a few chunks of hair to get a few more lines in, and at the temples, resulting in really good, natural-looking coverage. I have very sensitive skin, and had no issues with it being irritating. It doesn't appear to stain the skin - and if you get a little on your face, it washes off very easily. Cons: It leaves a coating that has a feel of a little tacky/sticky feeling. However, it does not seem to weigh the hair down. I've also found that it starts to fade a bit after a day, so a quick touchup is needed if you only shampoo your hair every few days. Tip: wash and dry and style your hair first, then apply after shaking the can well. Put an old towel on your shoulders before you spray. If you get a little on your face, it is easy to wipe it off quickly.

Covers your parts or roots until your next hair color job!
I use it on my hair parts! I canโt seem to cover them up. So the spray works wonderful to cover up the parts!

Not enough color variety
Okay, as a 40 year old female I love the concept of a root touch concealer. This product works extremely well and lasts all day and into a second day. The instructions recommend covering your shoulders while applying, but fail to mention anything around you. Fortunately it appears to clean off the sink easily and Iโm much more aware of how to apply it. Honestly itโs pretty fool proof and incredibly fast. There are not enough shade options for blondes. I bought all 3 available blondes and none of them match my highlighted/colored blondes. I can only get away with it by blending the darkest blonde color out onto the rest of the hair and even then the new growth coverage is too dark with the existing hair. Iโm sure if you have darker hair such as brunette or black this would work much better but I think most blondes would agree there isnโt enough color options. For the times where I have to go somewhere and havenโt gotten into the salon for a regular appointment Iโve had to use the darkest blonde spray to *try* and achieve a natural look. Even then it covers the grays and new growth but still looks like I need to get into the salon. All in all, I can cover my grays in probably 20-30 seconds. Game changer and time saver.

Fair.
This root cover up works pretty well but not as well as the Rita Hazan root concealer that I've been using for several months. The dark blond shade of the Loreal product is pretty close to my color so that's not the issue. The problem is that it doesn't completely cover my silvery strands. The RH cover up not only covers the gray completely, it also blends my darker virgin color with the artificial blond shade so that my salt-and-pepper strands match perfectly with the dark golden blond of the rest of my hair. The Loreal cover up doesn't do the same thing, although it's close. Also, the RH product doesn't rub off on clothing or pillowcases but the Loreal concealer does. They both have the pointed nozzle and with both the spray can go on very cold, which is an unpleasant feeling. But this discomfort subsides in a few minutes. The Rita Hazan cover up is $25 for a smaller cannister so that's why I opted to try the Loreal product. For $10 and a larger can (by several ounces) it was worth a try. I will probably use up the Loreal cover up because I don't want to waste it, but I don't think I'll repurchase it. It simply doesn't stick to my gray and blend the darker virgin roots as well as RH. That said, it's a decent product for $10 but I might have done better if I had gotten the lighter blond shade. I don't mind darker roots, just not as dark as my level 5 roots. If the roots were a darker blond after using this spray, then that would be acceptable. All in all, this Loreal product just doesn't have the coverage of RH. So I guess I'm going to have to buy the Rita Hazan spray for $25 from now on, at least until I find something more reasonably priced that works with my hair color. I also tried Zotos from Sally's ($8) but the dark blond shade was way too warm (almost orange). If your hair is dark and can find a suitable match, the Zotos spray would be a better alternative than Loreal. I recommend this Loreal spray if you have just a little gray and are trying to match your darker virgin color. But if you're 80% gray on top like I am, it just doesn't work that well. I'm sticking with the Rita Hazan spray, which is not only a perfect match, but also doesn't rub off and stays put until I shampoo it out. With Loreal, I had to keep retouching the same area daily, which means that a $10 product is not that economical after all.

magic root cover up
the colour matched well. But it does not work all the time. i press the nozzle to no avail. once out of 20 presses works. i am worried that it will explode if there is something wrong with it. But the colour works well UPDATE: The very nice person at Loreal gave me her suggestion to fix my problem, and it Worked! So I just want to thank this Loreal rep for her helpful suggestion. I would certainly order another when this one is finished.

long-lasting!
The best root touch-up spray! It will stay until it is shampooed out, and doesn't transfer to clothes or pillow

It works!
I was skeptical this would work, but it is absolutely amazing! Covers my greys in such a natural tone (I bought dark blonde). Only thing I am not wild about is the stiffer kind of feel my hair has in those areas I sprayed, but I can still style my hair as I want, and it lasted a couple of days until I shampooed. I am growing out my hair from blonde to my natural colour (dark blonde with some grey), and this will help with the transition nicely, I think, especially if I want a more glamorous look with hair pulled back for an evening out. Love that I have some fun, temporary options to get a little different look and feel with my hair.
