Decent choice for around the house needs and hobbies
Unit is great, I’ve used it for several hours now and it’s holding up just as well as my old dremel. I highly recommend not using the flex shaft though, it got pretty hot about 30 minutes into use and I could smell it cooking. Rotary tool itself is great though

Works great!
I’ve been using the WEN 2305 Rotary Tool Kit with Flex Shaft for a while now, and it’s turned into one of my go-to tools for woodworking projects. I use it for all kinds of things—detail sanding, carving, engraving, shaping small pieces, and cleaning up tight corners where bigger tools just can’t reach. The included attachments give you a good range to play with right out of the box, so you can jump straight into projects without having to buy a bunch of extras. The flex shaft is the real star for me. It makes detailed work so much easier and more controlled, especially when I’m doing fine carving or engraving on wood. Instead of holding the whole tool, you just hold the pen-style handpiece, which feels way more precise. For the price, it’s hard to beat. It’s not some heavy-duty industrial machine, but for home DIY and woodworking projects, it does a great job and has held up well. If you like doing detailed woodwork or small craft projects, this kit is a really solid addition to the toolbox.

Carving
I do a lot woodworking and this has been perfect for the carving and lettering work. Bits are cheap made but I bought the good carbide bits and works great.

You get what you pay for.
I've never owned a rotary tool. Because I wasn't sure I would ever use one often enough to justify the price of a "real" Dremel, I bought the WEN 2305 Rotary Tool Kit with Flex Shaft at a quarter of the cost. I figured if it was found to be handy that I would buy the real thing (Dremel). The WEN 2305 tool looks and feels solid out of the box. It is big and a tad heavy compared to some rotary tools. Setting it up was easy, the chuck lock ideally located, and the variable speed dial nice to have. I chose the corded model because my life is already overrun with expired batteries, missing chargers, and mismatched charging cables. For my use in the garage a power outlet will always be nearby. Unfortunately, right out of the box it smelled like burnt rubber, and there was a whiff of ozone the first time I started it, which normally would indicate an electrical short or arc of some kind. The smell did not continue as I used it, so I decided to see if it was just a fluke, like some extra material from assembly that burnt off the first time. Had it not been such a cheap tool, I would have immediately returned it for that reason alone, rather than risk having it fail once the return window or warranty had closed. The accessories that come with it are very limited, and of obvious cheap quality. I ended up buying a big Dremel accessory kit to use with it, figuring I'd want that if I upgraded the tool later anyway. Would I buy it again? Right now it is impossible to say, as the answer depends on the durability and longevity I get out of it going forward.

Great price
What a great price, the basic accessories are, well basic. But you can get affordable sets on here for like 10 bucks delivered so not a big deal. The two parts where this really shines is one, it comes with a flexing extension arm which will come in handy if I need it while under my car, and two, its the size of a full size dremel with adjustable speed. I've burnt out name brand 100+ dollar dremels after an hour of use before so finding this one for under 30 dollars with tax was a score, I could replace this one 3 times for the price of that last one I used.

The tool itself is excellent, feels cheap like the plastic just feels kinda like it's gonna break, but it's not. It also smells cheap, if that make sense, like that pungent odor of plastic. However ignoring aesthetics, it's an excellent tool. The button can be flicked easily, and the speed setting is at a nice place as well. The only reason i wouldn't give it a 5 star is because the accessories it comes with are garbage, the cut off disks are a legitimate safety concern snapping on contact with wood, and wearing down in a matter of moments. All the sanding bit grit wears down way too fast, i was sanding some pine and i noticed it wasn't sanding well, stopped the machine and noticed all the grit had gone smooth. The grinding bits are better, but no where near good quality, also going smooth in moments. The buffing tool is the best, but that's not saying much, it's thread is wearing down from minor use and it's shedding the felt or fabric on each use. I have yet to use the drill bits as i have a good drill, but they also look flimsy. I don't care too much about the bits being trash, as the machine is capable of using dremel bits, which are superior quality and not too expensive. Plus i have plenty lying around. The extension tool is excellent as well, it doesn't seem to have any RPM drop off, and can be bent in every way. No complaints on that. The box it comes in, is a cheap plastic case, but i can't complain too much. You have to treat it like a unicorn, but i'm fine doing that as most of the time the box sits empty while i work in a shelf, or it sits with the machine while i'm not working. Don't expect it to survive a fall.
