Bought to learn Bead Embroidery. I have a pattern from Beadadorn on Etsy. Very nice bead kit and good choice of colors. I will be sewing beads with a beading needle and all nylon thread. After learning how to sew them on I will be able to use them in my regular embroidery.

I got these to start making small beaded animals, specifically from Hands of Julia and they work GREAT!

Love the colors and quality

I was trying out a new loom, so tried these beads with it. You can see in the inconsistency in the finished piece. While I used some of the thinner beads, I had to pick out and toss the really thin ones and the non-bead glass blobs. Pros: •Variety of colors •Tweezers come in handy •Full box of beads •Pretty colors •Nice little bead case for storage Cons: •Beads are inconsistent size. Some are thick, some are thin •Lots of little glass blobs that aren’t beads •Did not come with two rolls of stretch thread. It comes with two strands wrapped and secured with a tie. •Not good for intricate bead work without a lot of sorting •Scissors are tiny like kids scissors but decent enough to cut stretch thread. •Can’t fit thread on needle, so have to thread tiny beads right onto the stretch cord. Kind of difficult and time consuming. Would I buy them again? It’s a decent amount for the money, but considering how many are defects, you can’t really tell how many good beads you’re getting. If you’re a professional or semi professional maker and you sell your jewelry, I don’t recommend it. If you’re making jewelry for friends, kids groups, just for fun or beading practice, it’s a good starter kit for the price.

Inconsistent size of hole. So some colors just can't be used together. Good variety of colors and a good value. Not terrible quality.

Thought these beads were smaller, so I can't use them for this project. However, I will keep them. The plastic box they came in is sturdy and easy to reach the beads. The colors a beautiful, and a great variety. This was an excellent but for me.

As noted by other people, the sections are small and the beads scatter a lot. Every time I took beads out some would get bumped into adjoining sections. The same number of beads in deeper compartments would be easier to use. It was packed with the cushioning bubble-wrap placed bubble side down, so when I opened the case a lot of beads adhered to the plastic and scattered about. When I put the bubble wrap smooth side down this does not happen. The case I received was damaged and the latch is broken. I have to secure it with a rubber band or the beads fall out. The opaque beads are fine, but I tried a project with the translucent green beads and noticed that the color is not evenly distributed in the bead - there is a clear section on every one. The result is that if the beads don't line up you can't see the color. And as noted by other reviewers, the quality control of the beads is not very good. The thickness varies a lot. I intend to use these on kumihimo bracelets and consistent size matters. Thus I will be throwing away a lot of beads. Overall I am disappointed. I will use them, but will not order again.

Very nice set for the price! Be careful when you open it though, beads may go flying because each square is full or near-full to the top, which is awesome. Nice array of colors. Some of the beads are warped or slightly so but for the project I'll be working on it's not that big of a deal. Comes with funky stretchy string and small pair of scissors (they are sharp so that's cool) and long-stemmed tweezers, which don't feel appropriate for this type of bead, they're too small and you're better off scooping them out with a teaspoon, but good to have anyway.
