and it works great with one minor issue
I've been using this for half a year now, and it works great with one minor issue. I mostly use it for Euro Truck Simulator 2, but have also tried it with a variety of racing games (Burnout Paradise, Flatout, GRID) although I don't play those as often. Worth noting: it is not useful for Grand Theft Auto V, which was not designed to work with a wheel - you're better off with keyboard and mouse in that one anyway. Generally speaking, the size is good, the feel is good, it's responsive, and it has just the right number of buttons in just the right places. For several times the price, you could get a different wheel with an extra clutch pedal and a stick shift if you need those, but you probably don't. The only problem that I've had with it is that the wire that connects the wheel to the pedals has a really cheap connector (the same as used by landline phones). When I first got it, the connector frequently slipped loose. You can't really tell when that happens except that in-game you suddenly find yourself driving around everywhere in first gear or something weird like that. I carefully bent the plastic prong on the connector out so that it would snap in and hold better and no more problems after that (so far so good). They really should have used a better connector there instead of skimping to save a few pennies on a $70 product. But when it is connected properly, it works great, and I haven't had a problem since I adjusted the connector. [Edit - I've been using this wheel for 2 years now, leaving the above intact and adding new thoughts below.] I never had another problem with that connector in a year and a half after posting that, so in retrospect it was a very minor issue and not at all a significant problem. I overstated it. **Pros** - Price. Most other wheels are much more expensive, and if like me, you'd never had one before, you might hesitate to buy one, when there's a chance that you'll soon lose interest after having only used it a few times. This one is a great introductory wheel at a good price. If you do lose interest, you're not out that much, and if not, you can upgrade later. - Feel. It feels good. The size is good and the rubber grips really help. You can nudge it, and it picks up your intent. - Buttons. The button placement is excellent, especially the two thumb buttons on each side of the wheel. The more expensive wheels don't even have that. I now have a more expensive wheel, which has more buttons, but I have to fumble to hit them. I really miss those two buttons on each side. **Cons** - Limited range of motion. If you're mostly playing racing games, this may not matter much, but if you're using it for something like Euro Truck Simulator or American Truck Simulator, the limited range of motion feels very very different from maneuvering a truck in a tight space where you would turn the wheel multiple times. It is significantly more difficult to do fine adjustments and maneuvers than with the much more expensive wheels. When you're out on the highway, it's not as noticeable, but it's still a little more difficult to do fine adjustments for lane-keeping. - Deadzone. When I first got the wheel, it had a small deadzone around the center. I was able to configure games such that it didn't really matter much. Over the course of a couple of years and a lot of use, however, the deadzone gradually expanded. Given the limited range of motion, having to eventually cut a sizable chunk out of it for deadzone wasn't good. But it took a couple of years of heavy use for it to become a noticeable problem for me. **Overall** Overall I'd say it was excellent and I enjoyed it and definitely got my money's worth. I have moved on to a different (more expensive) wheel now, but I would never have done that if I hadn't had this one first and loved it.

Great Entry Level Wheel for a decent price
The Thrustmaster Red Legend Edition represents a good beginners wheel, there is also the regular black edition which is essentially the same. I chose this one because I think the red goes nicely with the Ferrari Logo. Full Discretion - i did not buy this for myself. I bought two of them for a couple of my friends birthdays. I knew they had been contemplating getting wheels but considered them rather expensive. When I saw the price of this wheel and what it offered (ps3 and pc compatability) I figured i'd go for it. Now the wheel itself is all made of plastic and rubber, it actually has a great ergonomic feel and does not feel cheap as one might think. I have a modded logitech g25 for myself so i will provide a bit of comparison to that, in terms of the overall size I think this Thrustmaster takes the award it also just feels a little thicker which I find nice. Having all of the ps3 buttons on the wheel is really nice and makes for an easy overall experience. Now the force feedback isn't there so i can't really compare that to the g25, but the bungee cords wrapped inside of the wheel do provide a good counter-steering/heavy feel. It works progressively and I found this to have a really enjoyable feel when playing Dirt 3 and GT5/6(grid 2 was a bit too arcade like for a wheel). The pedals feel nice and firm, the brake is a bit stiffer which is a good touch. The paddle shifters are great and is something that the even more expensive logitech force gt does not provide...so bonus points for that! The clamp is best in the business as it trumps my g25 clamp by a longshot, the g25 was so frustrating until i got it hard mounted, there is no need for that here. Plug and play also worked flawlessly on the PC, there are drivers that you can download but honestly the wheel works just the same without them. TL;DR Pros: Prime Shipping Wheel has a great thick and ergonomic feel, despite being made of rubber and plastic. Works with both the PC and PS3 Has Paddle shifters that feel decent Best in business clamp The internal bungie cords in the wheel give it a good feel when cornering. Great Price Cons: No true force feedback (but for this price that is expected) the first one I gave to my friend worked the first day and the second day something happened to it and it wouldnt turn on....but amazon replaced it right away, so 5 stars because amazon really stands by their products. Not premium materials Not sure if it will work with the PS4...to be determined. This is a great beginner's wheel. Ultimately i would recommend a higher end wheel like the g27 or the thrustmaster T500 for true sim racing...but for the casual gamer that likes a more immersive experience, this is a great little starter kit for a very reasonable price! Hope this helps

OK
So let me start by saying I bought this wheel for forza horizon and Dirt 4/rally. It works flawlessly for dirt and all i needed to do was plug it in, but for forza, it is not supported or something just doesn't work, I have seen many other people complaining that this wheel doesn't work on forza... so id assume it's just not supported. overall it's a pretty good set for the price, there is a little room when just starting to steer that the bungee gives no resistance so it is supper sensitive in your hand. with these issues combined I will be returning this and saving up just a little more so I can buy a more mainstream, and high quality wheel.

The Best Racing Wheel For The Price
The Best Racing Wheel For The Price In this price point or lower, you may find racing wheels that have force feedback, however they’ll be from brands that aren’t common for the average buyer. They’ll also have smaller steering wheels than this one, and thier websites most likely won’t have current Windows 10 drivers. If you use the Red Legend Steering Wheel on Windows 10, the first thing you should do is go to the Thrustmaster website, and download the appropriate Windows 10 drivers. Then to click the switch on the Wheel to PC mode. The online manual from the Thrustmaster website will help you adjust the wheel sensitivity for either hard or soft steering. These settings help quite a lot depending on the game. I leave the wheel on it’s default settings. If you change the wheel sensitivity, you have to do it each time you turn off your PC and start again. If you leave your wheel plugged in and only leave it on standby, then it’ll stay in whatever mode you left it in. This also applies to the custom brake and gas pedal settings as well. Now onto the product itself. The wheel may look like a toy, but the plastic they choose mimics the look and feel of leather relatively well. The plastic itself is a decent quality for the price and the rubber wheel grip feels excellent overall. The wheel isn’t too light, nor is it too heavy. Its weight is right in the middle, because at first glance, it looks like it should be heavier than it actually is. The wheel steering mechanism that returns the wheel to its default position, and offers steering resistance, is based on a bungee cord located separately on both the left, and the right turning positions. If you’re gentle with it, it should last a long time. I know people who’ve had this model for several years, and people who’ve had it break within two months. Now with that being said, the pedals feel very good as well. They’re made of a light, but sturdy plastic. If you’re not happy with the pedal setup, you can unscrew either one of the pedals, and you’ll find a long and short screw on each one. If you rotate the pedal and flip the screw orientation the way it’s shown in the online instruction manual, you’ll get different results for the pedal angle that may be better for you. The pedal base has several rubber feet on the bottom. On carpeted or smooth tiled surfaces, it slides very easily. On more solid wood surfaces, it grips into place surprisingly well. The pedals offer the right amount of resistance for games like Project Cars 1 and 2, where having the correct drivers installed allows for this exact controller to be detected properly. Doing the 3 step calibration for the wheel and pedals in the game’s options menu made the gameplay experience perfect for me. Now onto gameplay. The wheel doesn’t have force feedback, and it uses a bungee cord instead of a resistance motor like the more expensive racing wheels do. This is to be expected, so it’s not a knock against this wheel at all. To accommodate for the lack of rumble, I put my surround sound system’s bass on high, and increased the car sounds in each game, as well as the ambient sounds, then lowered the music and voices slightly. This caused a light rumble in the standing tray table I use to lock the steering wheel onto. It’s not perfect, but it worked well for me. In each game you play, you have to change the controls to the racing wheel. You’ll see it as an option if you installed the drivers properly. In the older game, Dirt 3 for PC, the presets for this wheel were flawless. Now in the newer Dirt Rally 2.0, you need to change the controller preference settings to enable the wheel, as with other titles. Unlike most recent titles though, you’ll actually have to set up each button and steering axis accordingly. For console emulators, you’ll have to change the input settings from X-Input, which is the setup for Xbox controllers, to D-Input, or direct input. Once you do that, you’ll have to increase the sensitivity of the Left Trigger and Right Trigger buttons because the defaults don’t have enough range for the beak and gas pedals on the Red Legend Racing Wheel foot pedals. You’ll have to do the same thing for the Left analog stick, which acts as your steering wheel, otherwise your in game turning radius will be off. This is basically everything as far as using the Red Legend Steering Wheel goes. I docked a point becuse this Wheel was updated for the Xbox one, with chrome shifting paddles and a slightly nicer visual presentation. The updated Xbox One only model still lacks force feedback and uses the same bungee cord resistance mechanism though. This product has been out for some time in the lower price point category. Having a slightly more expensive option with enhanced visual appeal and materials for a slightly higher price would be nice in the lower tier racing wheel PC market since the PS3 had effectively reached the end of its life cycle a long time ago. Having PS3 support is a nice plus, but this wheel doesn’t work on PS4 it X-Box One, so an updated PC version that mimics the Xbox One versions aesthetics would be ideal.

Fantastic for arcade racing fun at home!
Finally got around to testing wheel and pedals. Wheel is a little smaller than say Logitech's, but is perfect for children and young adults. If you're an adult wanting to do simulation racing, then this wheel will not satisfy you (I was initially disappointed). I am testing and using this with a PS3 console. The wheel is all plastic, with a rubberized coating on the middle sides. I've tested with Burn Out, Need For Speed Most Wanted and Shift 2, Mod Nation, Gran Turismo Prologue, and Dirt3. The wheel works fantastic with all the tried games, no adjustments necessary. This wheel has no force feedback, but is still fun to use with the band resistance, which recenters the wheel. The big negative with this product, is the pedals. Now, the pedals do work great, give slight amount of gas and the game vehicles respond accordingly, as well as the brake pedal working well, you can also use the steering wheel controls for gas and brake, but lose out on controlling your precise speed and braking. The problem with the pedal system is that they are going to slide away from you every time you push them. There is no way to prevent sliding unless you physically modify them. There are only four rubber grips at the bottom of the pedals to grip, and when you press the gas, the pedal part at your heel will come up as your pedal gets pushed down and away falls away from you. I fixed this with an attached piece of plywood which was long enough to counter the pressure, but I still have the issue of it sliding on carpet and tile flooring, it only doesn't slide when I play with the plywood length going against a wall. In my opinion, the pedals remain useless until I acquire some type of racing rig to permanently place and strap in. Overall though, the pedals and wheel are very responsive, and for playing arcade style racing, this is a great buy, if your wanting real racing simulation, you won't be happy with this, everyone else will have a blast!

Terrible
The products intended function is fine. But mine broke making it unusable in a non janky way. The screw that holds the bottom mount to the top broke and now the only way I can attach it to anything is if I use locking pliers to attach to the metal bolt and use it to put pressure on the bottom making it tight against a desk or whatever. However, aside from being inconvenient, it looks bad and damages the bottom piece. Which means before too long it'll break too and I will have to find a new solution. Its an absolutely terrible product and the seller was no help. I will probably ask for a refund through the seller and when they decline like they most likely will, I will go to Amazon support because this product is trash in every sense of the word.

Good for a lower priced wheel
Works great with rigs of rods, had to use the key mapping function to get it to work. I didn't think it was too hard. Quality seems pretty good. My only complaint is that the table clamp doesn't hold onto the table well enough Update!!! After a couple of months of normal use the wheel quit working, and the spring for the gas pedal broke. I emailed thrustmaster support for replacement parts (spring and potentiometer). They didn't even read the email, Just told me $50 for a new set of pedals!!! I went to Lowes and got a misc spring drilled two holes and that seems to work. Then i measured the resistance on the wheel potentiometer while it was working (intermittent problem). I then found a guitar pot. on Amazon 5 for $9. Ordered it put it in with minimal fitting and so far it works fine. Thx for nothing Thrustmaster !!!! after this experience i can see the very poor manufacturing that went into this product

Great Plug & Play Wheel for PC
Bought this wheel primarily for iRacing, and it works like a charm on my PC. I plugged it in, made sure the switch was on PC mode, and did not have to configure any software, it worked right out the box. The pedals are very light but work well, I will probably secure them to a piece of plywood (as other reviewers have suggested) so they don't slide around on my carpet. The wheel itself has a great feel in your hands, and the paddle-shifters have satisfyingly clicky but also somewhat loud tactile-feedback. It's also a very handsome peripheral, with Ferrari red handles and the Ferrari prancing horse emblem emblazoned in the center of the wheel. There are a lot of buttons that can be customized and re-mapped - they seem to correspond with the buttons on a PlayStation 3 controller but I use them in iRacing for menu control, replay control, and text chat. While the wheel only turns 90 degrees in any direction, it is comfortable and the sensitivity can be adjusted. The mounting bracket took me a moment to figure out, but it sits securely on my desk - and it's easy enough to detach in case you don't want to use it. All in all, the Red Legend Edition seems to be a great starter wheel for any aspiring sim racer. For me, the price was just right at $70 - much more attractive than the $200 pricetag of the Thrustmaster TMX, though this is clearly a cheaper wheel. If you have the money for a better wheel I would recommend doing that - but the Red Legend wheel is perfect in it's own regard - an entry-level, Ferrari-branded Thrustmaster racing wheel.

Awesome Wheel for the Money!!!
I always had a thought to buy a wheel and try it with my gaming. My preference was on Logitech g27 but unable to go for it due to budget constraints. Then they discontinued G27 and new G29 came into play which was also not under my budget. Then all of a sudden I thought to give it a try. Without further thinking I purchased it and now my while gaming experience got changed. It's really a valuable product and totally brought my gaming experience to a new level. I liked to play ATS and ETS2. It served the purpose more than I thought. The feel and grip it amused me. I never tried the premium wheels so I cannot compare it with them but it's for those who has less investment. Only drawback is it doesn't have force feedback but I dint miss it so bad. The wheel was tight enough in cornering and the pedals are of neat and sturdy. more than that you can adjust the wheel sensitivity and the pedal alignment. I even tried grid autosport and dirt3 which are all very best with these wheel. Only thing is it takes some time to configure it for your taste. Once done it's all set to give it's best gaming experience. My suggestion is GO for it if you need a beginner wheel and it's damn cheap for the quality it offers.

Thank you Amazon Reviewers!
I am a big fan of Simulators (Truck sim, Bus Sim ect) and I have always wanted a steering wheel to enhance my experience. I dont have a lot of money for the high end wheels, nor would I think that it would have been worth it (if I were a pro streamer maybe?) But anyway what made me pick this one over the others. Well I had a price range in mind and this one was slightly over but because I got given an amazon voucher I went for it. I was looking for wheels in the £40-50 price range and saw some, but then read the reviews... they didnt speak highly of some of the cheaper (£30) models. I saw this one has a much more acceptable rating, read the good and bad reviews and made my judgement. Am I dissapointed? No. The wheel is sturdy, feels like it has some proper weight to it (you have to have one hand on the wheel) it doesnt have force feedback (although some games think it does, must be a generic chipset controller they use just not wired up?) It does have its own way of auto-centering. The face buttons are all in nice reachable positions, apart from the 3 in the bottom middle of the wheel but then these are meant to be the PS3 home, start and select buttons. The flappy-paddles are nice, albeit very noisy click sounds but thats no real problem. The steering wheel only has 180degree rotation, which is perfect if you are coming straight from analogue controllers to be honest, you be used to the wheel in game turning a little more than you are tilting stick (if you understand me there) The pedals are well built and feel like proper pedals, although a bit more weight in the base would have been nice. They are very responsive too. Windows 10 detected and installed the steering wheel with no problems, ETS2 is great with it (real reason I bought it) still yet to try it with other games but I am sure I can get it to work. Bus Simulator 16... I couldnt get on with the controller as it feels there is a lot of (in-game) steering wheel movement before the wheels engage. Like you have to do one full rotation before the wheels start turning. Probably just something in my settings and with Bus Simulator 18 just around the corner, I am not too fussed about it either at the moment. Would I recommend this? Well first impressions are good, I just hope it stands the test of time and still performs well in a couple of years time. I havent tested on PS3 yet, or for PS4 compatibility, I would be very happy if this works on PS4, especially for PS VR racing games... I will get back to you on that one. Thank you previous Amazon reviewers, I was able to make a decision. And I hope my additional review helps others make a similar choice.
