Looking for a good bass pick, would there be one here?

Hi. Thanks for your interest. These are good picks, but I think of them more for guitar. Personally I like thick, tough picks that are hard to wear down. Dunlop makes these picks out of Lexan which is practically indestructible: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000P5LVU8 -> Jack / Jax Music Supply

My favorite pic from the combo pack was the Ultex .60. I can’t find them here. Are they sold separately?

Let's start with the fact that you asked about the PVP102 pack which does NOT have the Ultex .60 pick in the package. The correct pack is the PVP101 which has the Ultex .60. As noted on the back of the package label that is the Standard Ultex pick series and you will find them listed as 421P.60 or 421R.60 depending on how many picks you want to purchase. See ASIN B0002D02RQ for a pack of 6 picks or ASIN B000EEHFVE for a bag of 72 picks. Note that all picks shipped by First Stop Music Shop are sent in boxes for added protection versus thin, unprotected envelopes.

which option would be best for a bass guitar and a beginner?

A Heavy pick with grip works best on bass for me....if I use a pick..very rare for me.. I like to use my first two fingers and "walk" the beat. Sometimes a pick is warranted. So it depends on what music you like to play and the sound your looking for. Best of luck ;~)
