This has protected the remove from dozens of drops. Not very thick but its more than enough to keep safe from drops.

I previously bought a 2-pack of cheaper cases, and I can confirm this one feels sturdier. Another reviewer mentioned the thickness made it a little hard to get to the buttons, but this is actually a benefit with the new remote. I purchased a second Shield TV not long after my first, and the remotes for the two are ever so slightly different. Visually, the new one has a latch button for the battery cover and the old one doesn’t. But physically, the new one is a bit extra sensitive with the button presses compared to the old one, and this thicker cover seems to balance that. All in all, I highly recommend this one.

Stops me accidentally pressing the Netflix button every time I pick up the remote

This cover does not fit it is a reject being sold cheap the only reason I am not returning is it took 10 mins of agony to get it on my navidia remote.

If you want a soft rubbery silicone remote cover you won't find it here. Instead the covering is semi-firm and slippery. It fits good but it seems to slightly interfere with voice recognition. If they updated the materials to a softer silicon probably 5 out of 5.
