Went from physical restraints for injections to complete calm
My 4 year old has to get painful injections every month for a chronic medical condition. She hates them and has needed to be restrained, even when using numbing cream. We were on our way to a full-blown phobia. We went through the same process of restraining her the first time we used the Buzzy Bee. By the second use, she cried in advance of her shot but stayed pretty still. This time, she just watched calmly as the nurse injected her, saying she "can't even feel it" with the Buzzy Bee. Since it's a larger injection that's given slowly, I use the device for 2 minutes before the shot and make sure to press the bee and ice pack tightly against her arm in advance of and during the injection. Since her appointments are in the afternoon, I've had success carrying the ice packs around with me all day in a baggy surrounded by ice inside a thermos. I can't believe how amazing this thing works. I cannot recommend it more highly.

Absolutely amazing product! Every pediatrician’s office should have one!
Perfect for children (or adults) who have a hard time with needles! My daughter always had a hard time with needles when she was young, and used this product for the first time when she was going through many tests and cancer treatments at age 13. We were first introduced to it at the children’s hospital 2 hours away, but not every department had one available, so I ordered one for her to have for when we went to her appointments. I even did a college level paper on this “Buzzy” product, in a marketing class. It’s amazing how the vibration makes the muscles confused, making the patient not feel a needle poke 99% of the time. I don’t know why more offices do not use the Buzzy products. But my family is a huge fan of it! Buzzy is a part of the PainLabs company and they are amazing with their customer service (when I called to ask a few questions about their product for my college class). I cannot recommend this enough!

No Crying Blood Draw
My four-year-old son got his first blood draw and we used Buzzy Bee. He did not even flinch or make one whimper. The phlebotomist was shocked and said it was the easiest pediatric blood draw she’s done! No pain, no drama. It was such a relief! I recommended this to everyone I know! And it was so nice that it came with the batteries in.

So helpful, but has a small design flaw / reduces pain comparably to just ice
I'm an adult with a fear of needles. I recently wanted to get a 3-dose vaccine. 1st dose (no buzzy): really miserable pain wise, also lots of fear around experiencing the full scope of pain (nothing to help it)2nd dose (with buzzy): went a lot better and hurt a lot less. Buzzy felt like a kind of plan I had for managing the pain from the shot, which helped me do better with fear. Ice and vibration really help, but some issues include: (1) transporting tiny frozen wings to the doctor's office requires an insulated lunch bag filled with surround ice, and even then there's a decent risk of it all melting and you having a luke warm gel pack rather than a properly iced one, by the time you get the shot; (2) the larger (hard plastic) buzzy I ordered doesn't work with its strap, meaning the instructions claim you can attach it to the strap and then wear it, but the device has zero places to attach said strap by, meaning you're going to DIY it and have it be unreliably tightened around your arm AND the buzzy together. In my case, the nurse held it, which made me more nervous than when I don't interact with the nurse prior to a shot, get to a calm headspace and try to cope with the idea of getting the shot. Buzzy complications were definitely a stressor and amplified the anticipation fear.3rd dose (no buzzy): I was gung-ho on taking buzzy again with me, but due to having to store it in such a complicated way, I ended up forgetting to bring it. This led to asking the nurse for an ice packet, in hopes it would help at least a fragment as much as buzzy helped. My partner held ice in place, which meant less interaction with the nurse than if she held it (like with buzzy), also less chance of seeing the needle if I had to turn to hold it. Honestly, this was the best scenario for me. It might be worth just asking for some good old ice from nurses who don't think of it first.Overall, I'd buy buzzy again. I think it's a wonderful device trying to help people like me and plenty of kids. It works just fine and I'm sure some people find it better than just an ice packet. Everyone has different sensitivity levels. I'd also bring it back to a similar appointment, just in case. Oh, and the softer buzzy might not have the strap design flaw, so I'd recommend that one over the hard shell buzzy, regardless of the type of shot you're worried about.

Better to just give the shot quickly than to increase anxiety by dragging it out with buzzy.
I can’t tell a difference, other than it dragging out the process, and making the experience worse, actually. Done quickly, my son’s allergy shot doesn’t hurt much. Done with a long “buzzy” preparation, his anxiety makes it more painful than it is. Just get it over with. Buzzy became like the grim reaper when we got him out.

Don’t think, just buy it. It’s amazing!
I got this before my 6 year old started weekly injections. Because of this device, my 6 year old has been able to confidently administer his own medication without fear or crying. This device is a god send for kiddos who have to get any kind of injection!
