This is why we engineered these replacement motor mounts for extreme strength. You'll find these mounts a serious upgrade from most other mounts, too.
- High Performance Design. We use U.S. made steel other American made materials, and feature double-weld joints to provide the most strength possible. And, just to make sure, we periodically pull a set of mounts off the shelf and put them through our 20-Ton Press Test to check for failures.
- Featuring Classic Polyurethane Bushings. The Classic Polyurethane bushings in this set of Brown Dog motor mounts will give your rig a sportier feel (89 hardness on the Shore-A® Scale). If the bushings ever start to wear, replacements are available from Brown Dog Offroad. Prefer our proprietary Ultra-Flex Rubber bushings? We offer all motor mounts and motor mount lifts with either polyurethane or rubber to match your preference.
- 1984 to 1998
Mounts bolt directly to the frame-side pylons, in the same bolt holes as the stock mounts. Bolts to pylons should be tightened like most others on your Jeep frame. Nice and tight. Tighten through-bolts (bolt that goes through bracket arms and motor mount) exactly according to installation directions. Overtightening these bolts will result in excessive vibration transfer. If installation instructions are followed, there is not a need to remove the alternator nor air conditioner compressor. Designed for use with OEM Jeep engine brackets for XJ 2.5L
