I absolutely love this yarn counter! The woodwork is stunning — smooth, solid, and such a joy to touch and work with. You can really feel the quality craftsmanship in every detail. At first, I wasn't sure how to use it correctly, but once I followed the instructions and wrapped the thread once around the measuring wheel, it worked perfectly! The readings are accurate, and it’s so satisfying to use. It has made my work much more enjoyable and efficient, and it honestly just feels good to use something that’s so beautifully made. Highly recommend this little gem — both functional and lovely. A great addition to any yarn lover’s toolkit!

I have a bunch of yarn from house sales, exchanges, or old purchases where the skein tags got lost (or tossed). I also have a good bit of handspun and never had more than a rough estimate of what I'd need for a project. This has answered those questions. It may be tricky to use with bulky or uneven yarn, but it works. A bit on the pricey side, but it's made its way around our knitting group a few times, so for me, sharing added to its value. Well made, sturdy, and will give you answers with relative ease.

Very easy to set up and tells me the info I need because i buy a lot of yarns from vendors who dont list the length of the hanks.

I purchased this specifically so I could tract the amount of yarn I was using in my patterns but as I was using it (both with and without a winder) I found that the wheel did not always turn even though the yarn was feeding through. It would be better if there was a way to keep tension around the wheel to keep it moving. I measured out 11 yards and it calculated as 8.5 because the yarn was not turning the wheel consistently.

I love this. It work very well to count the yardage on some the the yarns I don’t have the wrappers to. Thus company makes good quality items.

I got this to measure the finished length of my handspun yarn, since the measurements between off the bobbin with the niddy noddy and after being washed are different. Plus, this gives a more accurate measurement than the swift or niddy noddy. It only measures in meters, so if you want to convert to yards, multiply the measurement by 1.1.

Was perfect for measuring cord being pulled from a 1000 yard spool.

It is easy to use, easy to store and the wood appears to be of good quality, correct price for the quality and performance.

I bought this yarn counter as it looks good as well as being functional. I wanted it to measure my home spun yarn. I set it up next to my wool winder, about 2 feet away, and it works really well. I spin very fine yarn and was worried it would not have enough traction to work and noticed on some pictures the yarn was only put over the top of the wheel but I found it best to wind the yarn around the wheel once which was perfect and it turned and measured very smoothly. I am very pleased with it.
