Can you store this in your truck on its side?

I bought two of these recently, and they are really fragile. I would only recommend using this on a perfectly level surface, therefore truck storage is not ideal. One of the products that I purchase is leaking hydraulic fluid at the base of the tower, and I only used it twice. I am not sure if a repair is even possible.

What is the diameter for the top ram on the 4Ton jack? I'm looking to see what size lift pad will fit this jack.

The diameter for the top ram on the 4Ton jack is 35mm / 1.37inches. Thanks.
