For those inbetween sizing read this FIRST
Literally just got the shoes in the mail today. The main reason why im writing this review after only the first gym session is because I wanted to comment on the sizing for those that are reading 50 reviews saying different things. Right out of the box the fit was comfortable yet right on the money. I ordered size 11 US, which is dead on true to my sneaker size. I read tons of reviews saying to go half size bigger, or smaller, or even a whole size. That seems like a terrible idea, one reviewer on the Adidas site stood out to me and mentioned that these shoes are supposed to fit relatively snug on your feet and be form fitting, so that your balance is as good as possible, as if you were dead lifting in bare feet essentially. Women may be excluded from this as its a mens shoe and they must order smaller to accommodate. For men i would say order true to size for the best performance possible. The shoe is great and even running a mock dead lift on chest day just to feel it out, I can say im very excited for the next few days when I really get into it. It looks like these shoes are going to last a very long time and are very sharp looking. The black in person is jet black and they look much better than the photos show online. Two thumbs up on this purchase!UPDATE: 2/27/21 -- So far these shoes have held up to many hours in the gym, and im loving them just as much as the day i bought them. Very solid and stable platform to use for all kinds of push/pull workouts. In no way has the shoe fallen apart or degraded at all, including the interior of the shoe. I wear them 3-5 times per week, and going on 2 years of ownership. 5 star purchase and goes great with all my black workout clothes.

Solid lifting shoes (new model). Work great
This are solid lifting shoes for a pretty good price. They are the new model with a solid heel (still made of really hard foam) rather than the older model (3.1?) that had spaces in the foam in the heel. I use the shoes for squats (not crazy heavy; less than 300 lbs) and the shoes are rock solid.Laces are long enough (not short and not too long) and the lock down velcro strap works great. The shoes appear to be of good quality, and since you won't be running a marathon in them, I envision they will last for year and years. They are made of a nylon material that has a good look to it, they are comfortable, and look really sharp in my opinion.I read other reviews online and it suggested that you get a half size larger than your normal size since the shoes run narrow. My normal size is a 10, so I got a 10.5. My foot width is normal, and honestly, I could have probably gone with the size 10, rather than going up a size. The 10.5's fit fine, but I didn't see the need to go the half size higher. Just a thought but everyone's feet are different.

fantastic weightlifting shoe
So today was my 1st day breaking in these shoes note I do full body Training style. I have always used Chuck Taylors or my Nike metcons to squat in. I have been training for 3 years now and Finally decided to buy a pair of weightlifting shoes. I did not know what to expect since I have never owned a pair and the Adidas power lift 4 was a great choice for the price and for my 1st pair and I am blown away with the results I did not think a pair of weightlifting shoes would dramatically improve my Squat and bench press these shoes are very well grounded and you feel connected to the ground when performing compound movements. The Fit is true to size I got them in 9s and they fit these shoes are built to be firm you will have almost no movement and be planted to the ground when performing exercises. This was my first day I will add a update as I break them more but so far so good for day 1.

Runs extremely small
I read all of the reviews which were all over the place regarding sizing, so I bought 3 sizes to try: The size I thought would work, one a 1/2 size smaller and one pair a 1/2 size larger. All 3 were too small. Converting from women's to men's sizes did not play into it, because as a size 8.5 women's athletic shoe normally, the men's 6.5 or 7 should have been fine. So I had to order a men's 8, and they fit. Keep in mind that these are not soft uppers that give and stretch like most athletic shoes. They are a very stiff canvas and there is no give in the toe box. The shoe is designed to give a stiff and stable platform for lifting. The rigidness of the shoe may be why the sizing seems to be so way off, but still, Adidas should have taken that into account when they put size labels on this design. One last thing that really got me upset even more than the sizing: Amazon shipped 3 boxes of shoes in one large plastic bag and the boxes arrived smashed and broken. Now I have to return these same damaged boxes. I want it to be known that they arrived that way! I've gotten tiny items in huge cardboard boxes from Amazon but someone decided to put multiple shoe boxes into a plastic bag. Sheesh! 3 stars because the sizing is so far off and the boxes arrived in very bad shape due to poor/no packing.

good value
I wear mens 10.5 and these are just a touch tight in the length, very good width. But I'd rather have a little tight than too loose, don't want my foot sliding around. There is no arch support to speak of, which is also OK by me. The velcro strap is a little annoying while trying to tie the laces. The very first time I wore them to squat I could feel the difference in form. I was of the mind that as a recreational weight lifter there was no need to invest in special shoes but now I'm glad I did.

A bit tight, as intended
This is a good weightlifting shoe that I use for both squats and deadlifts. If you do your online research, you will see it is recommended to do squats and deadlifts with a weightlifting shoe or barefoot, since gym shoes will absorb some of your pushing power. It is generally recommended to wear a flat shoe for deadlifts and an elevated heel for squats. This shoe has a slightly elevated heel so I use it for both, not wanting to go to the gym with three pairs of shoes. As for fit, they are a bit tight, as expected. You don’t want your foot moving around in your shoe during heavy lifts, you want a firm foothold. Some people even go so far as to buy a size down, but I’m not sure that is necessary.

good lifting shoes for squat
That is my first ever powerlifting shoes and I love them but I used them only for squat. I tried to use them on deadlifts and barbell rows but it makes those lifts harder by increasing the range of motion. Excellent for squat.****NOTE THAT I DO LOW BAR SQUAT WHICH IS DIFFERENT FROM THE REGULAR SQUAT.

Great lifting shoes
I love these weightlifting shoes. I am a casual lifter who does not perform any Olympic lifts other than the occasional clean. The lower heel height is perfect for me - the shoes feel transparent and I don't trip on the heel. They are light and provide a stable base for squats and deadlifts. The velcro strap is secure. The reeboks I am replacing were heavier, and the velcro straps stopped staying closed after about a year. I much prefer these, and they are very affordable compared to other options.

A great show at a great price
Fantastic shoe. My 1st powerlifting shoe. A great deal and what a great feeling of being planted on the floor during squats. The fit is spot on without socks. With a sock it would be a bit too snug but I don't wear socks at the gym.Very well made.
