Great pitcher to filter water
Bought this picture to filter my water from my tap. It does a great job in the filters are more economical than the other brands. Does filter slowly, but the water tastes great

They honor their warranty!
I bought this pitcher in September 2023 and have really liked it! The water tastes great to me and I like the ethos of the Lifestraw brand. It filters the water a little slower than other filters I've used in the past but that doesn't really bother me much as a single person household. I have just made a habit of always filling it again after I have used it for a glass of water or to make tea. Like many others in these reviews it started leaking from the base seam about a month ago April-ish 2024. I contacted Lifestraw on their normal website and they replaced it for me. They sent me a whole new pitcher and filter housing which was really nice. I was only expecting the outer pitcher part. For those who were not aware they have a 3 year warranty! Just make sure you purchase this from Amazon LLC and not a third party seller. I do hope they work on this design flaw with the plastic models. The glass version was my ideal pitcher as I try to not use plastic much in my kitchen but I can be clumsy and was afraid I would break that one so I went with the plastic version.

Great filter, "lid" is a MAJOR DESIGN FLAW
I've now used this for years. I still choose this water filter pitcher over other water filters out there. This two filter system produces the best tasting water - backed my dad who's very picky and apparently can taste everything and anything that it could be "contaminated" with lol. (He was how I ended up with this pitcher) After owning two of this, here's my praise and absolute woe. PROS: Definitely filters all the "ick" in tap water that affects our cooking, drinks, etc. Ice tastes great, coffee tastes great. I'm absolutely satisfied with it! Better than other brands out there!! Pro Tip: if you need more water filtered, then just remove the cap and fill to the top. CONS: I'm pretty sure others have written the same thing. THE LID IS A MAJOR DESIGN FLAW. (I'm putting it in caps in hopes that LifeStraw company notices. Probably not, but worth a shot). You. CAN'T. Clean this thing!!!!! Why they made the flap not removable - I can only think they've never used this pitcher themselves, and never lived in a humid climate in the slightest. Moisture gets trapped in there, and even in my most meticulous attempt at keeping it dry, IT WILL GROW MOLD UGH. The silicone ring IS ALSO NOT REMOVABLE and it will grow mold around the edges. You really cant get good leverage with a sponge or anything to really scrub the filth off. I mean, I guess you *could* if you have extremely long fingers and no knuckles lol. I tried with wire cleaner. I tried with every type and shape of cleaning brush. Sponge with wires!!! Oh, and it grows mold where the flaps are connected, which, again, is impossible to get to - after years of attempting to maneuver edges of paper towels to scrape the mold off. I will say, they sure made the lid very durable because IF I COULD BREAK THAT DAMN LID OFF I WOULD HAVE. I'm tired. Of all the things going on in the world right now, THIS IS THE LAST THING I WANTED ON MY MIND. Lol. Did you know they have a YouTube channel that "shows" you how to clean this thing.... But conveniently left out how to clean this lid? And 90% of the comments asks for how to clean the lid.... but THEY DON'T ANSWER!?!? One more thing. Definitely invest in the silicone bottom cover. Without it, the plastic WILL CRACK. That's why I'm on my 2nd one. With it, zero issues. Honestly I could live with this. But the lid frustration knocks 2 stars off. Guys, I've tried my best to figure it out and to live with it. I want to love it But I'm just so done. Lol. Def recommend this pitcher, but figure out a way to break off the flap.

Reliable home pitcher with activated carbon and hallow fiber membrane filter
The filtered water tastes and smells great. It falls a little on the expensive side. The design is good to look at but makes it difficult for use as its not really 7 cup on a single fill. So, the size is not proportional to the capacity. I bought a BPA free plastic one but still use it with Silicone Base that I purchased separately as I read many reviews which said the pitcher is not durable and started leaking.

Great
This Lifestraw pitcher is a replacement for a Clearly Filtered pitcher I had for years. The handle broke off, it was difficult to clean, and it was very expensive, so the search began for another option. I’ve been using this Lifestraw product for a few weeks now, and I’m very happy so far. The company has a great reputation for filtering the water and actually making it safer, while also contributing to the those in need. I was able to fit the 10 cup pitcher in my refrigerator door after removing an upper shelf, which I think helps keep the pitcher cleaner than leaving it out on the counter. Also, the filling mechanism is superior to most competitors, as you don’t have to take the lid off to fill and it doesn’t leak if you pour before filtering is complete! The pitcher can become quite heavy on the wrist when filled, but I don’t see the handle breaking easily because it is located higher than others I’ve used. I did purchase the silicone base/sleeve for protection because I have children who might put it down on a hard surface, and the sleeve fit like a glove. Can I also add that the Lifestraw pitcher is actually attractive? It isn’t an eyesore on the dinner table if you entertain. That wasn’t something I required, but it is added bonus. At this time, I would definitely recommend this pitcher filter!

It's unwieldy, slow to filter and more
I had first bought the 18-cup model and was very pleased by every aspect of it. I filled it easily from the spray nozzle at my sink. The water filtered at a reasonable pace and tasted great. I mean great. However, after a couple of weeks the press-dispenser at the bottom started to leak. After reading many reviews mentioning the same problem I returned it and bought the 10-cup model. Sigh. There are several problems with the 10-cup model. As mentioned in other 2-star reviews you have to fill the center chamber several times to fill the pitcher even half way. Then, even half-full, the pitcher is very heavy and unwieldy. I'm strong, but really don't feel great about the way this pitcher handles. Furthermore, I can't tell if the water I'm pouring is water that's still in the center chamber "waiting" to be filtered or water that has been filtered already. I just can't tell because the odd lid on top where you fill the center chamber doesn't open far enough to see down into the filtering chamber. There's more, unfortunately: The screw at the bottom of the filter chamber is exceedingly difficult to unscrew, which you need to do to replace the carbon filter. Most disappointing of all, (I can hardly believe it!) is that the water comes out tasting WORSE after being filtered than it does straight out of the tap. (I made sure the water was completely filtered before coming to the conclusion that there's something off about the filter itself.) This filter was thoroughly rinsed according to its directions. I really wish they'd redesign the 18-cup version and fix the dispenser problem!

Slow Trickle, Great for Single Folks
Excellent for Single People. I have been using for about a month now. It filters about a liter at a time, and it's a slow trickle, which is what you want, otherwise what's the point of having a filter if it's just going to run fast through the filter?! Having said that, I would not recommend this for filtering water for many people, or you will be refilling and waiting all day long. For this price point I recommend it for single folks.

Three years and it starts to leak
I had this about three years and it started leaking and cracking around the bottom seams. I like the design and it seems to work well. Going to try the same brand but glass.

Container is plastic not glass
The LifeStraw filtered water jug is a solid choice for those looking for clean, great-tasting water on a daily basis. The filter does an excellent job of purifying water, leaving it tasting fresh and clear, without any of the usual aftertaste from tap water or bottles. It’s incredibly easy to use and does a great job of reducing contaminants, making it a reliable option for everyday hydration. My only real disappointment is the container itself—while functional, it’s not made of glass, which would have been a nice touch. A glass design would have felt more premium and sustainable compared to the plastic construction. Nevertheless, the jug is durable and does the job well, making it a great investment for improving your water quality without the need for single-use bottles. I am a picky water drinker and prefer bottled water but this tastes great and I approve!
